‘Fire and Water: Making the Avatar Films’

Streaming on November 7

The fascinating documentary, Fire and Water: Making the Avatar Films, gives viewers a behind-the-scenes look at how James Cameron created the Oscar-winning hit Avatar: The Way of Water. It also offers a sneak peek at the next film, Avatar: Fire and Ash. Through exclusive footage, personal interviews with the actors, and beautiful concept art, the series highlights the innovative technology and visual effects Cameron and his team developed, including groundbreaking underwater performance capture.

The documentary features interviews with stars like Cameron, Sam Worthington, Kate Winslet, and Zoe Saldaña. Saldaña believes the project clearly demonstrates why performance capture is such a powerful acting technique, allowing actors to fully own their on-screen performances and receive proper recognition. The Avatar franchise is famous for its groundbreaking visual effects and has earned an impressive $5.2 billion globally. The original 2009 film was a massive hit, becoming the highest-grossing movie ever with a worldwide revenue of $2.923 billion. The two-part series will premiere on November 7th.

‘A Very Jonas Christmas Movie’

Their trip is filled with unexpected problems and challenges that test their relationship, and they’re determined to overcome everything to make it home in time for the holidays.

Get ready for a new holiday comedy movie starring the Jonas Brothers! It includes original songs by the group and special appearances by celebrities like Billie Lourd, Laverne Cox, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson, with even more guests to be announced. The movie is being released alongside a new Jonas Brothers album, just in time for the holidays. Joe Jonas said Disney was the perfect partner to bring the holiday spirit to the film. Mark your calendars – it premieres on November 14th!

‘Chris Hemsworth: A Road Trip to Remember’

Streaming on November 24

In the touching documentary, Chris Hemsworth: A Road Trip to Remember, Chris Hemsworth shares a very personal experience. The film follows Chris and his father, Craig, who is living with Alzheimer’s, as they take a meaningful road trip across Australia. They revisit places from their past, hoping to understand how staying connected to others can help with the disease, while also strengthening their relationship and cherishing their time together.

Chris Hemsworth’s documentary, A Road Trip to Remember, follows him as he tries to help his father cope with dementia by revisiting cherished memories. The project was made with the guidance of dementia specialist Dr. Suraj Samtani, who worked closely with the Hemsworth family for a year to prepare for the film. Hemsworth described the experience as deeply emotional and more impactful than he expected, especially after his father’s diagnosis. Chris Hemsworth: A Road Trip to Remember will begin streaming on November 24th.

‘The Beatles Anthology’

Streaming on November 26

First released in the UK and then the U.S. thirty years ago, the eight-part documentary series The Beatles Anthology tells the story of the legendary rock band, considered by many to be the most influential in music history. What made this documentary special was that it featured the Beatles – Paul McCartney, George Harrison, John Lennon, and Ringo Starr – sharing their own experiences and memories.

The Beatles Anthology has been beautifully remastered by Peter Jackson’s Park Road Post and now features nine episodes, up from the original eight. It tells the complete story of the band, from their beginnings in Liverpool and Hamburg through the frenzy of Beatlemania. The expanded version includes new footage of Paul, George, and Ringo working on the project between 1994 and 1995, along with their personal reflections on being in the Beatles. Watch The Beatles Anthology starting November 26.

‘Holiday Baking Championship’

Streaming on November 29

Get ready for some sweet competition! The Food Network’s Holiday Baking Championship is back, and it’s a treat for anyone who loves baked goods. Twelve skilled bakers will compete in fun, holiday-themed challenges for a chance to win $50,000 and be crowned Holiday Baking Champion. Each week, they’ll create both classic holiday pastries and impressive, show-stopping desserts, all judged by a panel of expert bakers.

Jesse Palmer, a former NFL player, hosts the popular Holiday Baking Championship. Duff Goldman and Nancy Fuller are the show’s regular judges, and Carla Hall joined as a judge starting with Season 7. The show is known for its delicious baked goods – think pies, cookies, and candies – and has gained a large following. It’s even led to other successful shows, like the Halloween Baking Championship. New seasons of the competition will be available starting November 29.
