Every successful reality series like Below Deck begins with an outstanding cast, however, the makers of Below Deck face a particularly challenging assignment. Not only must they recruit competent and eager yacht crew members who can captivate viewers whether they’re performing tasks such as making beds or cleaning bathrooms, or inflating that infamous slide, but these individuals must also maintain the show’s documentary-style elements. To excel in Below Deck requires proficiency in two roles: one on the boat and another as a reality television performer.

As a devoted moviegoer, I must admit that what makes this series intriguing is its ever-changing cast. It’s rare to see recurring actors from one year to the next, even beloved characters may only have a brief stint. This advantageously keeps production costs low (they certainly aren’t complaining!), but it also means each season introduces a fresh set of characters for us to connect with. What sets this show apart is that most of these individuals aren’t here for the fame, they’re genuinely passionate about their roles and the yachting lifestyle. They’re being authentic, not playing up drama for a prolonged narrative like some reality TV stars might. Instead, they’re just enjoying the ride and letting their true selves shine.

The frequent crew changes on “Below Deck” and its spinoffs (Mediterranean, Sailing Yacht, Down Under, and Adventure) have resulted in more individuals appearing on these shows than all the performers at Coachella combined. With 214 cast members to rank, it became clear that some were standouts while others barely left an impression. Some worked diligently, while others preferred smoke breaks, and personalities ranged from delightfully charming to toxic boatmance partners who were so problematic they seemed to invite criticism. Being in a boatmance on “Below Deck” can provide more screen time, but many of these relationships are so challenging that they tend to be judged harshly. To determine the best and those who deserved to depart with only an insult and a plane ticket, we compared them all.

As a movie enthusiast, let me share my insights about how the crew and captains are evaluated in this show. They need to excel in their dual roles – both as yacht personnel and reality TV stars. If someone is poor at being a yachtie but shines brightly on screen, they can still rank quite high. Those who couldn’t last more than four episodes due to their ineptitude as a yachtie have been placed in the “short timers” category. The ones who do their jobs well but fail to captivate the audience are, well, a bit dull – I’m sure they can find recognition elsewhere that doesn’t involve this list.

The factors that truly matter here are memorability and overall impact on the show. This is why you’ll see some villains outranking expectations, some chaotic individuals climbing higher than we might prefer to acknowledge, and a few “boatmances” rising both in popularity and on this list above the chaste ones.

Remember, this is the official, unchallengeable, scientific ranking of everyone who’s ever had to don a polyester polo shirt to cater to someone with an unusual preference for “No onions!

199.
Luke Jones

Deckhand
Below Deck Down UnderSeason 2

He was videotaped attempting to enter a bed unclothed while Margot Sisson was apparently intoxicated, without her agreement, and then shut the door on producers when they tried to stop him. Naturally, he lost his job as a result, and it’s clear that his actions place him at the bottom of this ranking.

198.
Laura Bileskaline

Second Stew
Below Deck Down UnderSeason 2

It’s enough that she believed herself to be wiser than Aesha Scott for her fate to potentially lead her towards damnation. Her actions of sexually harassing Adam Kodra and later showing sympathy towards Luke Jones didn’t hasten her journey there, but they did result in her dismissal from the show and a position on this list with Luke at its bottom.

197.
Gary King

First Officer
Below Deck Sailing YachtSeasons 2-5

In simpler terms, Gary, known as the franchise’s notorious ladies’ man, has had relationships with numerous cast members, even two stews in season two. His behavior towards women at work is questionable at best, reaching a peak in season four when he was involved with Mads Herrera while pursuing Daisy Kelliher, who was dating his friend Colin Macrae. These indiscretions may have caused the delay in season five due to accusations of sexual misconduct towards a production crew member. Given his history with women on the show, these allegations are unfortunately plausible. While he has contributed many compelling storylines, this behavior crosses a line that is unacceptable.

196.
Peter Hunziker

Deckhand
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 5

A cast member so offensive that Bravo ultimately decided to edit him out of the show following the exposure of his racist posts on Instagram. Consequently, our knowledge about him is limited to the fact that Malia White had to reprimand him due to his blatant misogyny.

195.
Mila Kolomeitseva

Chef
Below Deck Mediterranean Season 4

She prepared the most dismal nachos for her guests and subsequently made offensive remarks about homosexuality while sailing on a yacht skippered by a lesbian. Her tenure spanned just five episodes before being replaced by Anastasia Surmava, a stew lacking professional culinary education.

194.
Raygan Tyler

Bosun
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 7

It appears that the bosun struggled immensely with her responsibilities, whether due to lack of effort or incapability. When Captain Sandy couldn’t locate her on board, she offered up “food poisoning” as an explanation – a flimsy excuse akin to saying “the dog ate my homework.” After just five episodes, she was ordered ashore.

193.
Emma Crouch

Deckhand
Below Deck Sailing YachtSeason 5

It’s clear that this crew member was one of the most ineffective we’ve ever had. Not only did she consistently fail at her tasks, but her attitude was poor – she frequently complained, was lazy, and resisted taking instructions. In the midst of Captain Glenn attempting to fire her due to her poor performance, she even left in the middle of the process for a cigarette break.

192.
Chandler Brooks

In Season 6 of Below Deck, when Captain Lee advised the aimless leader to make changes, he pointed fingers at his disgruntled team rather than accepting the constructive feedback. However, as no improvement was observed, he found himself dismissed after nine episodes.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=watch?v=MWSK2H6pSrY

191.
Chris Brown

Deckhand
Below DeckSeason 5

After failing to perform his duties for six consecutive episodes, Captain Lee ultimately decided to let go of him. As he departed, he made a rather indifferent remark, “I couldn’t care less. I plan to get drunk on the beach and find companionship.” Regardless, he certainly knew how to make an impression as he left.

190.
Brian de Saint Pern

Lead Deckhand
Below DeckSeason 7

Instead of using notes on Valor, this individual chose to end things with Courtney Skippon via text message, only to become angry when she shared the news with others. During a time known for its prevalence of misogyny, he stood out as one of the most egregious offenders.

189.
Tanner Sterback

Deckhand
Below DeckSeason 7

In the midst of many other dogs, Tanner got acquainted with Stew Simone and attempted to join the Kate Chastain train. It’s a good thing she didn’t entertain his advances.

188.
Ashley Marti

Stew
Below Deck Sailing YachtSeason 3

She repeatedly pleaded for a promotion, and it took quite a toll, yet her efforts proved fruitful as she moved from being a third stew to leading the crew. However, there was a more significant problem: she had sexual relations with Gary King when he was excessively drunk, which many viewers deemed as assault (Gary himself claimed later that he didn’t view it as such). Ashley declined to participate in the reunion, attributing her absence to the editing process. Needless to say, that argument seldom resonates positively.

187.
Shane Coopersmith

Deckhand
Below DeckSeason 8

As a devoted alum from the hallowed halls of Berkeley, I fancied myself superior to my fellow crewmates aboard that vessel. Little did they know, though, that beneath this air of self-assuredness lay the laziest deckhand on board. One fateful morning, as the sun was just beginning to rise, I missed an alarm for an early shift – a blunder that earned me an early exit from the ship after seven episodes, courtesy of Captain Lee’s stern hand.

186.
Jessica Albert

Stew
Below DeckSeason 9

Following nine consecutive episodes, she abruptly decided to leave, citing exhaustion due to the demanding work schedule on the yacht. She hurriedly gathered her belongings and departed without bidding farewell to anyone.

185.
Jason Gaskell

Deckhand
Below Deck Mediterranean Season 7

Amongst a team of outgoing individuals on the deck, Jason, being an introvert, often found it difficult to fit in. Adding to this challenge was his tendency to complain about others, which didn’t improve his standing. When Bosun Storm Smith attempted to discuss his behavior with him, the conversation escalated and Jason ultimately chose to leave the ship rather than carry on.

184.
Parker McCown

Deckhand
Below Deck Sailing YachtSeason 1

Initially, this individual lacked knowledge and was unwilling to take guidance or abide by the rank structure within the crew. He showed particular disrespect towards Ciara Duggan, our only female deckhand. His behavior escalated to such an extent that he ultimately decided to leave the team before the season concluded.

183.
Seth Jacobson

Deckhand
Below Deck Adventure
Season 1

As a seasoned sailor with years of experience under my belt, I’ve encountered many types of crew members during my time at sea. Among them, there was one particular individual who stood out for all the wrong reasons – the overzealous deckhand, eager to climb the ranks and prove his worth. He was a constant source of annoyance with his incessant chatter about his aspirations to be lead deckhand.

However, when Captain Kerry finally granted him his wish, it was like watching a transformation unfold before my very eyes. The once humble and eager deckhand transformed into a petty dictator overnight. He began to boss around the other crew members, issuing orders with an air of superiority that was far beyond his station.

While I understand the desire for advancement and recognition, this individual’s sudden change in demeanor was not only unwarranted but also detrimental to the overall morale of the crew. It was a stark reminder that power can go to one’s head quickly, and that ambition should never come at the expense of respect and camaraderie.

In my experience, true leadership is earned through hard work, humility, and an understanding of the needs and feelings of those around you. The deckhand could learn a thing or two from this lesson, if only he would take a step back and reflect on his actions. But alas, I fear that arrogance has blinded him to his own shortcomings, and he will continue down this destructive path unless someone intervenes.

182.
Jean-Luc “JL” Cerza-Lanaux

Deckhand
Below Deck Sailing YachtSeason 2

He had a child with Stew Dani Soares, initially denied paternity, but later admitted it. Despite some events happening after the playoffs, it’s justified to rate him low because JL earned it.

181.
Tom Pearson

Crewmember on Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 3, this individual failed to keep watch over the anchor and allowed the vessel to drift onto shallow waters. This incident is considered one of the most significant navigational blunders in the series’ history, leading to his dismissal during episode seven.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=watch?v=076a4gas2MU

180.
Delaney Evans

Stew
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 6

Originally, Delaney was intended to stay in the same room as Chef Matthew Shea. However, when it was mandated by management that she share a room with another woman instead, Chief Stew Katie Flood opted to dismiss her. This suggests that Delaney wasn’t making significant contributions if an overburdened stew found it preferable to let her go rather than adjust the room-sharing arrangements.

179.
Davide Morosi

Engineer
Below Deck Sailing YachtSeason 5

Apart from sporting a very poor hairdo, it’s also worth mentioning that his rowdy behavior with Gary King led to the destruction of a couch – an incident for which he has yet to offer a proper apology.

178.
Matt Burns

Chef
Below DeckSeason 5

Ah, I see! So, you’re saying this individual was a chef during the season when Kate Chastain was tasked with creating his menu on Below Deck? That makes sense now.

177.
Robert Phillips

Deckhand, Below Deck Season 8

The newly appointed lead deckhand, who used to be a crew member, gained notice for criticizing Izzy Wouters following her promotion above him.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=5APhi-beqag?si=aqwNNrOjMPzih4ho&t=80

176.
Chris Miller

Deckhand
Below Deck Sailing YachtSeason 1

At the end of the season, he stepped in as a competent, diligent employee. However, due to an unfortunate accident that left him with a severely injured back, he was unable to perform his duties for the final charter. He wasn’t subpar; instead, his presence became unnecessary.

175.
Kelsie Goglia

Deckhand
Below Deck Sailing YachtSeason 3

She put in a lot of effort, sported fabulous hair, but spoke little. The impressive aspects of daily life aren’t necessarily impressive in a more abstract sense.

174.
Lauren Burchell

Deckhand
Below DeckSeason 4

A crew member who identified as female, she wasn’t particularly notable except for an incident involving excessive drinking in the captain’s quarters one night, during which she, along with Kyle Dixon, Ben Robinson, and Nico Scholly, accidentally damaged a part of the wall.

173.
Baker Manning

Deckhand
Below DeckSeason 5

As a seasoned observer of human behavior and someone who has experienced my fair share of romantic encounters, I find it intriguing when individuals prioritize work over personal connections, as was the case with the woman in question. In this instance, she seemed so engrossed in her pursuit of success that she missed out on a potentially memorable moment with EJ Jansen. It’s not uncommon for people to become consumed by their ambitions, but I believe that striking a balance between work and personal life is essential for overall happiness and fulfillment. In my own experience, I have found that cherished moments with loved ones often provide more lasting satisfaction than any professional achievement could ever offer.

172.
Nick Tatlock

Chef
Below DeckSeason 11

This last-minute substitute chef often boasted about his two decades of culinary knowledge, yet, surprisingly, jotting down notes seemed to be missing from his repertoire of skills.

171.
Julia D’Albert Pusey

Stew
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 1

Apart from an argument over croissants with Chef Ben, I don’t recall any specific actions of hers on the show, but I do remember her as a diligent and dedicated individual. That’s commendable.

170.
Reid Jenkins

Deckhand
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 7

Over the past five episodes, he found it challenging to fit in with the team, as they had grown closer due to the romantic tension and negative emotions of this season.

169.
Haleigh Gorman

Deckhand
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 8

Despite having to be admitted to the hospital due to her illness, she didn’t manage to leave a strong impact otherwise.

168.
Diana Cruz

Stew, Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5

Diana appeared to be unsuited for the reality show due to her reserved nature that hindered her from flirting or causing drama with the male participants. However, she displayed competence when it came to handling tasks on the boat.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=watch?v=Xj68X1Ln6jM

167.
Wes O’Dell

Deckhand
Below DeckSeason 9

A crew member who remained focused, steered clear of conflicts, and put in a lot of effort is truly commendable, although sometimes it can be a bit challenging to notice such dedication.

166.
Barnaby Birkbeck

Deckhand
Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 3

The name, the wild hair … He sure was a lot. Nice kid, but we only knew him for a few episodes.

165.
Scarlett Bentley

Stew
Below Deck Sailing YachtSeason 3

As a film enthusiast, I had a soft spot for Gary King, yet it’s clear now that my taste in men wasn’t always the best. Keeping pace with Daisy Kelliher’s high standards during my temporary stint under her was quite a challenge. Luckily, I was just stepping in as an end-of-season substitute.

164.
Paris Field

Stew
Below DeckSeason 11

A combination of confident and assertive is often appealing when referring to a substitute chef, although perhaps she could have shown more respect towards Chef Nick Tatlock in yielding control.

163.
June Foster

Stew, Below Deck Mediterranean Season 4

“June June Hannah. June June Hannah. June June Hannah.”

https://youtube.com/watch?v=watch?v=jcsz7qUr_9U

162.
Emile Kotze

Deckhand
Below DeckSeason 3

He was hot, but did he really do anything other than be hot? Did he need to?

161.
Max Hagley

Deckhand
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 2

As a seasoned sailor with years of navigating the rough seas and turbulent waves, I can confidently say that I have encountered many deckhands during my time at sea. However, there are few who stand out like Max. From the moment he set foot on our vessel, it was evident that this rookie had a special charm about him. His cheerful demeanor and infectious enthusiasm quickly endeared him to nearly every member of the crew.

Despite his inexperience, Max proved himself to be an asset to our team. He was always eager to learn, quick to adapt, and never hesitated to lend a helping hand when needed. His positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile made working with him a pleasure rather than a chore.

However, I must admit that there wasn’t much else to say about Max beyond his likability. He was not one for small talk or sharing personal stories, but his actions spoke volumes. He simply went about his duties with diligence and professionalism, leaving little room for criticism.

In conclusion, while Max may not have been the most talkative deckhand I’ve ever encountered, he was undeniably one of the best. His charm and work ethic made him a valuable addition to our crew, and I look forward to seeing how his career at sea progresses in the future.

160.
Emily Warburton-Adams

Stew
Below DeckSeason 4

Chef Ben’s charming English girlfriend was simply delightful, if only she had a more notable history.

159.
Kevin Dobson

Chef
Below DeckSeason 7

1st offense: Informing Kate Chastain bluntly that her service is poor, and tossing sand at her.

2nd offense (compounded): Overlooking the fact that Captain Lee was present during a guest dinner, which could have led to an unprofessional scene or negative feedback.

3rd offense onwards: Continuing to disregard professional protocol and etiquette in various situations, essentially accumulating numerous offenses over time.

158.
Danny Zureikat

Deckhand
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 1

Without a doubt, the unquestionable antagonist of the current season, disliked not only by the fans but also the crew, was a particular deckhand. Hannah Ferrier and Bobby Giancola both held strong disdain for him, and his behavior ultimately led to his dismissal due to inappropriate actions with a guest and composing her a poem. Quite embarrassing.

157.
Mathew Shea

Chef
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 6

Initially, I teetered on the brink during the inaugural voyage, when a sudden panic attack and a knee injury forced me into an unexpected hiatus. Subsequently, after a crew-led soiree, I made the rash decision to walk away, only to return with my tail between my legs the next day. This culinary artist was nothing short of chaotic and, truth be told, not particularly exceptional in his craft.

156.
Simone Mashile

Stew, Below Deck Season 7

The stew was poorly served and managed to irritate Kate Chastain significantly, leading to her being demoted from the second-in-command position to a lower rank.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=watch?v=N1uBDe1p_Go

155.
Jared Woodin

Bosun
Below DeckSeason 11

Initially, the crew member displayed disorderly enthusiasm, but things escalated when he angrily confronted Kyle Stillie over a forgotten pack of tobacco on deck while inebriated. This outburst stirred the captain from his slumber, ultimately leading to the crewman’s dismissal.

154.
Danni Warren

Stew
Below Deck Sailing YachtSeason 5

Typically, it’s revealed on ‘The Bachelor’ that some participants have ulterior motives, but it appeared as though Danni was more focused on pursuing relationships with Gary King, Keith Allen, or the guy from the beach club rather than fulfilling her work duties.

153.
Jenna MacGillivray

Chief Stew
Below Deck Sailing YachtSeason 1

Most of her time aboard was taken up by public displays of affection with Chef Adam Glick, which became quite noticeable. This led to Captain Glenn needing to address the issue with her. Simultaneously, she was neglecting her responsibilities and often scolding her stews for being lazy.

152.
Ross McHarg

Bosun
Below DeckSeason 10

In a turn of events, this supervisor became involved romantically with subordinate Katie Glaser. Later, he started flirting openly with Alissa Humber and other women at the bar, all while his superior was present. Although he performed his duties satisfactorily, it was disgraceful to lead someone who reported to him on.

This version aims to maintain the original meaning, but uses simpler language and a more conversational tone that is easy for most readers to understand.

151.
Adrienne Gang

Chief Stew
Below DeckSeason 1

Originally, the head stewardess of the franchise displayed an extremely poor demeanor, which made it impossible for her subordinates to take her seriously and often led them to argue with her instead. During the second season, Eddie Lucas went to such great lengths as to swim away from her just to avoid any interaction when she returned as a guest.

4 eps or less

Short Stays

Among the temporary team members, some who stepped in for departed crew were competent and barely remembered, while others performed so poorly that they were dismissed before completing their five-episode tenure. In contrast to the primary list, this ranking is arranged from those who performed best relatively to the absolute worst.

15. Leigh-Ann Smith joined “Stew” in Season 10 of Below Deck, and despite a brief stint, her presence was felt strongly towards the end. A surprising revelation unfolded when it was disclosed that she had been exchanging explicit messages with Ben Willoughby for several months prior to joining the yacht.

14. Taylor Dennison, a dedicated worker, proved her worth even as a late-season substitute on Below Deck Down Under S1. She truly deserved more recognition.

Avery Russell, Crew Member on Below Deck Season 8, was the first team member to depart, having stayed for just a single day – a decision he made himself. Prior to the start of the season, he returned home to be with his grandmother who was unwell.

12. Kaylee Milligan – Substitute Stew, Below Deck S9

Kaylee is a previous colleague of Chief Stew Heather Chase who appeared in just three unremarkable episodes as a replacement for another stew who left.

11. Temp Stew (Brooke Boney) stepped in during the initial two episodes, as Kyle Viljoen was delayed due to visa complications. A big thank you, I suppose.

10. Originally an engineer on board, Don Abenante found himself tasked with cleaning the teak decks instead of working on the engine by his superior Eddie Lucas. Following a reprimand for jumping off the ship alongside Rocky Dakota, he felt it was appropriate to move on.

9. Trevor Walker

Previously a hair model, he served as the Deckhand during Below Deck Season 4. However, his behavior was less than pleasant and caused issues for most of the crew members. He initially held the position of second engineer but was demoted due to poor performance, leading to his dismissal by Captain Lee in episode four, which many would describe as a ‘fuck-up.’ That’s that.

Andrew Sturby – A crew member from Season 2 of ‘Below Deck’, who was the initial cast member to be dismissed due to falsifying his qualifications, and served for merely four episodes before Captain Lee uncovered the deception.

7. Logan Reese – A Temporary Crew Member from Below Deck Season 2

During the later part of the second season, he appeared as a replacement for four episodes, and overall, he seemed quite pleasant.

6. Nate Post served as the chef during the final four episodes, outshining his predecessor Ryan McKeown and earning all the praise usually associated with receiving multiple Michelin stars.

5. Sean Meagher: Temporary Stand-in Captain during Below Deck S9

For a couple of episodes, this interfering taskmaster temporarily stepped up as captain when Captain Lee was held up ashore. Frankly, we’d rather he didn’t return.

4. Dane Jackson

– Member of the Crew, Season 3 of Below Deck

In just four episodes, he caused quite a stir: first, he got drunk in the crew mess and woke everyone up; then, on his day off, he became so intoxicated that he displayed aggressive behavior. This led to an early return trip on a tender boat. Unsurprisingly, Captain Lee was already waiting for him with a plane ticket home.

Among the numerous displays of attitude issues on the series, Lara Flumiani’s behavior stood out as the most appalling. She consistently disregarded instructions from Hannah Ferrier and seemed to consider herself superior to the role she was hired for. After just three episodes, she resigned, a decision that was met with relief not only by the cast but also by viewers.

2. Ruan Irving, in the role of Bosun on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 8, found himself in a tricky situation when his yachting credentials were discovered to be false. As a result, he was dismissed before the vessel even set sail for the first time. Despite the unfortunate circumstances, his brief tenure proved memorable and iconic.

Kyle Dickard, Deckhand on Below Deck Adventure Season 1

This boisterous Texan cowboy boy was let go in episode three following his aggressive threat towards Nathan Morley, the sole Black crew member, after being politely asked by him to flush the toilet post-use in their shared bathroom. From the start, it was clear this individual wasn’t a good fit for the team.

150.
Caroline Bedol

Stew, Below Deck Season 6

She resigned with a two-day heads up, though it seems more symbolic than practical, given her poor performance throughout the season. However, it’s worth noting that Kate Chastain and Josiah Carter played an unkind trick by blaring music outside her room during her exit – something I wouldn’t approve of in a colleague. Still, if she were my coworker, I’d join in the celebration for her departure as well.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=watch?v=DQqwTaBTWos

149.
EJ Jansen

Bosun
Below DeckSeason 5

Initially, he stepped in as an interim boatswain, ruled over the deck with an iron fist (as if saying “This deck is mine now, buddy”), and departed after six episodes, returning to a vessel he had previously served upon.

148.
Iain Maclean

Bosun
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 9

Iain’s remarkable accomplishment lies in his ability to avoid being dismissed, despite consistently demonstrating a lack of effort and skill as the least competent bosun we’ve observed on the series.

147.
Gabriela Barragán

Stew
Below Deck Sailing YachtSeason 3

In a commendable display of determination, she had several confrontations with her fellow steward Ashley Marti. However, following a disagreement with Chef Marcos Spaziani during their time off and an emotional conversation with a friend, she decided it would be best for her to move on.

146.
Abbi Murphy

Deckhand
Below DeckSeason 7

She accepted her boyfriend’s proposal through a text message, but found the yacht lifestyle unappealing after just six episodes, so she decided to leave. With a wedding of her own to organize, there was no time for second thoughts.

145.
Adrian Martin

Chef
Below DeckSeason 6

The composed and skilled cook arrived on the boat while being in an open relationship, and that’s alright, but his inappropriate advances towards Laura Betancourt were definitely not acceptable.

144.
Laura Betancourt

Stew
Below DeckSeason 6

As a passionate cinephile, I found myself stepping into the shoes of a cast member on Below Deck, but alas, my tenure was brief. I formed an alliance with Ashton Pienaar, yet failed to meet the lofty expectations set by Kate Chastain in our short-lived stint together, spanning merely seven captivating episodes.

143.
Benny Crawley

Deckhand
Below Deck Down UnderSeason 1

Initially, he exhibited a poor demeanor, stubbornly resisting the suggestion of letting go of the anchor chain due to his discomfort with confined spaces. Over time, however, his perspective shifted, though he was quite vocal about expressing his discontent.

142.
Cloyce Martin

Chef
Below Deck Sailing YachtSeason 5

Upon his arrival at age 21, it quickly became apparent that his immaturity would hinder his performance in the most challenging role on the ship. After serving a poorly made cake and causing chaos during dinner by preferring to swim with the guests instead of preparing, Cloyce received a stern reprimand from Daisy Kelliher, which ultimately led him to serve well-prepared dishes. It’s fortunate that he eventually matured.

141.
Oriana Schneps

Stew
Below Deck AdventureSeason 1

She aspired to become the assistant stewardess, yet lacked the necessary skills for a promotion. To top it off, her arrogance didn’t help her cause either.

140.
Carrie O’Neill

Stew
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 9

In a season filled with disappointing stews, it wasn’t until Aesha Scott’s appearance that a truly exceptional one emerged, demonstrating to the rest what level of effort was required. Unfortunately, her stay was limited to just four episodes.

139.
Jen Howell

Stew, Below Deck Season 5

In this context, she often prioritized styling her hair and arguing with Kate Chastain over performing her duties effectively.

138.
Cat Baugh

Stew
Below DeckSeason 11

Despite appearing somewhat delicate, she unexpectedly gathered her things without providing an explanation after receiving a troubling phone call from her closest friend at home. It was likely the wisest course of action.

137.
Kasey Cohen

Stew
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 3
—

Hannah Ferrier believed that the stew was incredibly poorly made, leading her to question whether the person had truly listed their culinary skills accurately on their resume. However, she will likely be most recalled for her love triangle with João Franco and Brooke Laughton. Despite losing out to Brooke, it’s unlikely she harbors any resentment, as she is now married to a woman.

136.
Lexi Wilson

Stew
Below Deck Mediterranean
Season 6

From where to begin, let’s consider three questionable actions: boasting about her lavish apartment and designer bags, intruding on babyangel Zee Dempers without justification, and making an offensive comment towards Chef Matthew Shea regarding his parents. These behaviors were consistently unacceptable, culminating in her dismissal by Captain Sandy.

135.
David White

Chef
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 7

If a symbol for toxic masculinity were chosen, it might well be this “thrill-seeker.” Prior to their appearance on the show, Dave and chief stew Natasha Webb began a relationship when she was still involved with someone else. They attempted to conceal their romance, but once Natasha distanced herself from her partner, he bombarded her with inappropriate messages, referring to her as a “prostitute” among other disrespectful terms. Grow up, fella.

134.
Natasha Webb

Chief Stew
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 7

Following the disclosure of her romantic involvement with fellow crew member David White, she returned to a troubling former boyfriend, who she had previously been unfaithful to with David. These distractions significantly impaired her leadership abilities on the job.

133.
Jamie Sayed

Bosun
Below Deck Down Under
Season 1

This police officer behaved more like a ship’s supervisor, often butting heads with virtually every crew member, even Captain Jason. He was known for his irritability, manipulation, and a tendency to portray himself as the protagonist in his own tales. However, his behavior became particularly problematic when female crew members playfully referred to him as “bitch,” leading to an explosive reaction.

132.
Katie Glaser

Deckhand
Below DeckSeason 10

In simpler terms, this crew member became involved romantically with their superior officer, Bosun Ross McHarg. Despite his mistreatment throughout the season, she remained loyal to him. Truthfully, she deserved more respect and should have ended things with him.

131.
Bryan Kattenburg

First Officer, Below Deck Mediterranean Season 1

In a different scenario, this former crew leader found himself in a position of being a first officer, who encountered the challenging behavior of Danny Zureikat, including insubordination. However, it’s important to clarify that such disrespectful actions don’t justify the chauvinistic attitude he showed towards deckhand Jen Riservato.

130.
Aleks Taldykin

First Officer
Below DeckSeason 1

Originally intended to serve as the ship’s captain, the first officer was deemed inexperienced by the owner of the vessel named “Honor.” In a surprising turn of events, Captain Lee was brought on board at the last possible moment instead. Incredulously, this individual also made appearances in two episodes of the reality series “Vanderpump Rules,” during which he dated Kristen Doute. (Praise be to Poseidon, the sea deity!)

Deckhand
Below DeckSeasons 4-5

In his debut as a temporary deckhand, this boisterous British individual showed romantic interest in Sierra Storm despite being in a relationship, and during his second tenure, he became quite agitated whenever someone tampered with his meals. Clearly, this person thrives on theatrics!

128.
Lewis Lupton

Bosun
Below Deck AdventureSeason 1

Typically, bosuns tend to be authoritative, but this particular one was overly lenient. He allowed his team to behave carelessly, even encouraging laziness. What added to the problem was his support for Kyle Dickard when he threatened a fellow deckhand with violence.

127.
Tyler Rowland

Deckhand
Below DeckSeason 6

As a cinephile, I stumbled upon this intriguing character, a surf-loving lad who joined our film’s deck crew rather late in the game. To make things more interesting, he even shared an evening out with Rhylee Gerber – though it seemed like there might have been a hint of a breakup in the air between them. Despite his typecast appearance, he proved to be quite skilled at his job.

126.
Keith Allen

Deckhand
Below Deck Sailing YachtSeason 5

He maintained a professional demeanor to avoid being swept up in the turbulent situation surrounding Danni Warren, who displayed affectionate gestures towards him. However, as he developed feelings for Daisy Kelliher, he was well aware that such a relationship could potentially stir up some trouble.

125.
C.J. LeBeau

2nd Engineer
Below DeckSeason 1

In an unfortunate incident during a charter, the second engineer chose to go swimming drunk with Sam Orme, breaking not one but two major rules at once. When Captain Lee instructed him to either accept a reduced tip or leave, he opted for the latter and surprisingly found employment on another boat in the marina. That’s quite some initiative!

124.
Elizabeth Frankini

Stew, Below Deck Season 8

In simpler terms, when Francesca Rubi discovered some shortcomings in the stew’s performance and took advantage of an opportunity to sleep in a guest cabin during charter, she decided to terminate her employment. However, the way she begged for her job after being fired is considered one of the most awkward moments in the history of “Below Deck”.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=watch?v=qd5PAZkJnx4

123.
Ashling Lorger

Stew
Below DeckSeason 8

She didn’t have a moment more memorable than this: when she reported Elizabeth Frankini for staying in the guest cabin instead of sleeping in her own bed. While nobody appreciates a tattletale, her actions certainly stirred up some drama and she proved herself to be a more diligent worker compared to Elizabeth.

122.
Magda Ziomek

Stew
Below Deck Down UnderSeason 1

Due to her excessive texting to her boyfriend during work hours, she consumed all the ship’s data allocation, making one wonder if she behaves more like a teenager than an adult.

121.
Leon Walker

Chef
Below DeckSeason 3

On almost every occasion, this unscrupulous cook presented beef cheeks as the dish, openly expressed dislike towards Kate Chastain, and even attempted to pin the blame on her when he accidentally sparked a kitchen fire. Eventually, Captain Lee instructed him to gather his cooking tools and depart. It seems there was a mix-up with the Bravo show.

120.
Ryan McKeown

Chef
Below Deck Down UnderSeason 1

His overbearing demeanor and selfishness were already off-putting, but what really grated was his insistence on dictating meal times according to his schedule, rather than when the guests preferred. To make matters worse, he was rude to Aesha Scott. Fortunately, Captain Jason intervened before the season concluded, sending him packing. As he exited, he chose to moon the crew, adding a final touch of absurdity to his departure.

119.
Jessica Condy

Chef
Below Deck AdventureSeason 1

The chef’s behavior towards the other team members was incredibly harsh, leading Captain Kerry to address her about her “bullying.” Indeed, she wasn’t exactly pleasant company.

118.
Max Salvador

Deckhand
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 8

A more relaxed and engaging way to phrase this could be: Instead of completing his tasks, the Frenchman often prefers to engage in friendly banter with Lily Davison, who is simmering like a stew. Despite his unpleasant behavior, he was quite charming to observe.

117.
Michael Gilman

Deckhand
Below Deck AdventureSeason 1

He aimed to transition from working on commercial ships to yachts, but unfortunately, he fell short of that goal. His performance was lackluster in every aspect, with the exception of ingratiating himself with his captain or senior officer.

116.
Bruno Duarte

Deckhand
Below DeckSeason 5

Originally hailing from the luxury of cruise liners and interacting with the ship’s crew, his shift to becoming a deckhand proved challenging. Ever since disembarking, he’s been venting his frustrations, particularly towards Captain Lee and Kate Chastain.

115.
Joe Bradley

Deckhand
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 9

In a rather peculiar turn of events, I appeared to navigate the deck with ease yet found myself utterly baffled in my interactions with the ladies ashore. To put it mildly, Bri Muller and Ellie Dubaich both seemed captivated by me, even engaging in a friendly rivalry over my company. However, as the season drew to a close, the only point on which these adversaries (and spectators alike) could concur was that I was less than graceful when it came to dealing with the fairer sex.

114.
Ashton Pienaar

Deckhand/Bosun
Below DeckSeasons 6-7

In the second season, this ruggedly built crew member reappeared in the role of bosun, making him unique among Kate Chastain’s colleagues who had both kissed her and broken a window in anger towards her. Known as “Smashton,” he left a trail of distress during his two-season stint, leading a testosterone-infused team through one of the most tumultuous seasons, and almost met his end when a line got entangled around his ankle. It appears Ashton struggles with competence, even in his job duties.

113.
Heather Chase

Chief Stew
Below DeckSeason 9

Initially, she struggled with handling her subordinates effectively, yet she will always be remembered as the white head steward who employed a racial slur. In an instance following Black cast member Rayna Lindsay into the restroom, she repeated the derogatory term after Rayna had used it. She believed her action to be innocent, but it was not. This incident sparked countless debates on Twitter.

112.
Sierra Storm

Stew, Below Deck Season 4

In this scenario, the third crew member, who was supposed to be on the ship’s flight, unfortunately missed her boarding time. Subsequently, she attempted to assist Chef Ben in the kitchen, but found it challenging to prepare even a basic salad.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=watch?v=pfJbe5ve4uQ

111.
Anthony Iracane

Chef
Below DeckSeason 11

In a nutshell, this French chef found himself struggling with the detailed preference sheet – a document that carried immense importance given the guest in question was Jill Zarin, who had numerous specifications. With such particular demands, it’s understandable that there would be many preferences and potentially displeased diners. Captain Kerry made the right call in letting him go.

110.
Faye Clarke

Chief Stew
Below Deck AdventureSeason 1

Instead of having them do half of her work, she preferred that the deck team assist with completing a significant portion of it. Granted, they might have been perceived as lethargic, but in the grand scheme of things, the interior design was under her jurisdiction.

109.
Natasha De Bourg

Chef
Below Deck Sailing YachtSeason 2

In my critique as a movie-goer, it’s safe to say that the culinary artist portrayed in this film left much to be desired. I found myself squirming in my seat as she struggled with even the basics – failing to poach an egg or produce enough pita bread. To add insult to injury, her unwillingness to acknowledge errors only compounded the problem, leading to a dramatic and turbulent relationship with Daisy Kelliher. Yet, I must admit, their volatile dynamic was undeniably entertaining.

108.
Adam Glick

Chef
Below Deck MediterraneanSeasons 2-3
Below Deck Sailing YachtSeason 1

In our experience, not many yacht chefs have anger issues as intense as Chef Adam’s. During his debut season, he had a relationship with Malia White that ended mid-way, and during his stint on Sailing Yacht, he was involved with Jenna MacGillivray. However, his romantic adventures pale in comparison to his kitchen blunders. For instance, disregarding a guest’s preferences by using onions in their meal, which made him the unique chef to have his food rejected not once, but twice.

107.
Jamie Jason

Deckhand
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 3

Due to her severe motion sickness, this crew member was forced to work inside during several voyages. After recuperating, she was placed in isolation due to the flu. Someone needs to find a doctor for her immediately!

106.
Samantha Orme

Stew
Below DeckSeason 1

In a more casual and simplified manner: This woman, who happened to have an engineering degree, often gave off an air of superiority towards others, even after she and C.J. LeBeau were both found out for swimming and drinking on a charter boat.

105.
Nico Scholly

Deckhand/Bosun
Below DeckSeasons 4-5

In the absence of a bosun during season five, the lead deckhand was given the role temporarily. However, he proved unsuitable for the job, leading Captain Lee to hire EJ Jansen instead. But their personal differences led to conflicts until EJ eventually left. Despite this, Nico remained on board throughout.

104.
Dylan Pierre De Villiers

Deckhand, Below Deck Season 11

It’s quite unusual for someone so traditionally good-looking to be so poorly skilled in social situations. His awkward behavior and self-affirming mutterings when he was on duty were irritating, yet he compensated for it through diligence.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=watch?v=n3XF–HjhtA

103.
Wes Walton

Bosun
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 2

This season, the second man Malia White became involved with, Wes, struggled significantly in dealing with the love triangle he found himself in with Adam Glick. His struggles were evident when he physically confronted Adam during a break from work.

102.
Alissa Humber

Stew
Below DeckSeason 10

Among the series’ notable antagonists, Alissa initially came across as mature and dependable in contrast to Camille Lamb, but it was later revealed that she was equally negligent. This was further demonstrated when she pursued Ross McHarg despite his involvement with another crew member. The decisive factor that led to her dismissal was her disrespectful comments about Captain Sandy and addressing her as “Sandy” instead of “Captain.” With only a few episodes remaining, she was sent back home following her indiscretions.

101.
Camille Lamb

Deckhand/Stew
Below Deck Season 10

Among the show’s impressive roster of antagonists during that particular season, Camille stood out due to her subpar work quality, abrasive demeanor, frequent insubordination, and dramatic outbursts. The only individual who seemed disappointed by her departure was Ben Willoughby, who had a romantic connection with her.

100.
Barbie Pascual

Stew
Below DeckSeason 11

The stew demonstrated abilities, yet lacked a proper demeanor, particularly towards her supervisor Fraser Olender. She understands that one aspect of the job involves following instructions, doesn’t she? This self-proclaimed high-maintenance individual was inconsistent, not only in her emotions but also in her romantic entanglement with Kyle Stillie.

99.
Johnathan Shillingford

Chef
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 9

From my personal experience as a culinary enthusiast, I’ve found that when someone is self-taught, it often raises some questions. In the beginning, this particular chef seemed somewhat lackadaisical and not particularly receptive to criticism. However, over time, he demonstrated an impressive ability to adapt and improve, eventually rising to greatness as a chef. His talent proved to be a valuable counterbalance to the shortcomings of the restaurant’s interior and overall operation. It just goes to show that sometimes, those who seem less than promising at first can surprise you with their potential for success.

98.
James Hough

Deckhand
Below DeckSeason 8

The ship’s crew member, so attractive that guests were actually quarrelling for his attention, was pursued by none other than Stewardess Elizabeth Frankini. Unfortunately, this only escalated the already poor performance of her work duties.

97.
Ben Willoughby

Deckhand/Bosun
Below DeckSeasons 10-11

It was surprising when the man with long hair, who was romantically involved with Camille Lamb, was the sole defender of her during an incident. His actions were sufficient for him to be asked back as bosun for the next season. However, he misused this opportunity by being unkind to Sunny Marquis, making her feel uncomfortable due to his indecisiveness about their relationship and then shifting the blame onto her.

96.
Kiko Lorran

Chef
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 5

To put it simply, it’s clear he wasn’t an exceptional chef, and things took a turn when Hannah Ferrier suggested he cook French fries for “Vegas Night”. Despite this, his dismissal mid-season by Captain Sandy seemed unfair, as she asked him to complete a charter even after she had already let him go.

95.
Ross Inia

Deckhand/Bosun
Below DeckSeason 6

Despite being adorable like a button and generally keeping a low profile, Rhylee Gerber often brought out his more assertive side after getting promoted to bosun.

94.
Brianna Adekeye

Stew
Below DeckSeason 5

Regardless of being frequently involved in disputes between Kate Chastain and co-steward Jennifer Howell, Bri’s relaxed demeanor contributed to improving the interior environment to some extent.

93.
Adam Kodra

Deckhand, Below Deck Down Under Season 2

The charmingly accented Brooklyn resident with a maritime background, having worked on cargo ships, dealt gracefully with Laura Bileskalne’s unwanted advances, but his bout of seasickness and inexperience on luxury yachts often caused issues – notably the instance where he mistakenly deployed the anchor while the vessel was in motion. Yet, Captain Jason could have made more effort to help him adapt before deciding to dismiss him.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=watch?v=3QHUv88kkc0

92.
Marie “Sunny” Marquis

Deckhand
Below DeckSeason 11

Why would a capable female deckhand like yourself choose to be in a relationship with Ben Willoughby? After all, he often made her feel smothered, yet what she truly sought was fundamental respect.

91.
Nathan Gallagher

Deckhand
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 9

This fellow is captivating, attractive, witty, and exceptionally skilled in his profession. He’s got everything going for him – a strong friendship with Joe Bradley and a romantic connection with Gael Cameron that seems to work perfectly. Could we possibly get him back again?

90.
Gael Cameron

Deckhand
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 9

Initially, she started the season accompanied by a partner, facing challenges in fitting in within the ship’s crew. However, as the season came to an end, she was in a relationship with Nathan Gallagher and had gained all the necessary knowledge to thrive while cleaning the teak.

89.
Tiffany Copeland

Stew
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 1

Initially, she joined with aspirations of being a deckhand; however, Hannah Ferrier consistently attempted to mold her into a stewardess, eventually succeeding. Kudos to Hannah… and Tiffany, it seems.

88.
Brooke Laughton

Stew
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 3

Following an intense romantic entanglement involving herself, João Franco, and Kasey Cohen, she departed the vessel, holding hands with João. Upon his return the following season, she was no longer present, marking the end of their relationship. A close call, indeed.

87.
Rayna Lindsey

Deckhand
Below DeckSeason 9

As a woman of color who has faced racial bias and discrimination throughout my career, I can empathize with Rayna’s situation. It’s disheartening to see how her legitimate concerns about being treated unfairly onboard were brushed aside by Eddie Lucas, especially after Chief Stew Heather Chase used the N-word. In my personal experience, it’s all too common for complaints about racism to be dismissed or downplayed, making it even harder to fight against systemic injustice. Rayna deserved better treatment, and I hope that the crew of the yacht learn from this incident and strive to create a more inclusive work environment.

However, it’s also important to acknowledge that Rayna herself made some mistakes during her time on the yacht, such as getting drunk and making messes. While these actions should not excuse the racism she faced, it’s crucial to hold everyone accountable for their behavior, regardless of their race or background. Ultimately, I hope that this experience serves as a learning opportunity for all parties involved, and leads to positive change on the yacht and beyond.

86.
Xandi Olivier

Stew
Below DeckSeason 11

She just wanted to clean the beds, do the laundry, and stay the hell out of it. Good for her.

85.
Kat Held

Stew
Below DeckSeasons 1-2

In a chaotic turn of events, this stew was involved in a dispute with Adrienne Gang, shared romantic moments with Ben Robinson, and was discovered secretly leaving the ship under the guise of “Kat wanting to visit the bar.” Known for its boisterous escapades, it has earned the title of a tipsy legend.

84.
Francesca Rubi

Chief Stew, Below Deck Season 8

The task of filling Kate Chastain’s shoes after she left yachting and the show proved to be an insurmountable challenge, as this uninspiring woman simply didn’t have what it took. Francesca struggled in managing her stews, particularly Elizabeth Frankini, and seemed disinterested in their training or development. Fortunately, her tenure was curtailed by COVID-19.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=watch?v=0Xfp6-Mu50E

83.
Connie Arias

Deckhand
Below DeckSeason 3

Apart from enjoying a great moment, this crewmember had an exceptional fondness for shedding her garments, as demonstrated by a particularly notable episode where she donned a bikini made of whipped cream.

82.
Lauren Cohen

Stew
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 2

Apart from an instance when her actions were highlighted due to a conflict with Malia White over gossiping after Malia publicly kissed both Wes Dalton and Adam Glick in one night, this third crew member generally maintained a low profile and dedicated herself to her work (even spending a night with Bobby Giancola). However, it seems that some events involving romantic entanglements within the crew were hard to ignore. (For future reference, Malia, if you wish to keep such matters private, perhaps refrain from kissing members of the crew!).

81.
Conrad Empson

Bosun
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 3

I was always in awe of this bosun, who despite being the youngest among the deck team, held an authoritative position. This didn’t sit well with many of his subordinates, particularly João Franco. However, he will forever be etched in my memory as Hannah Ferrier’s boyfriend, whose work ethic seemed to decline significantly once they became a couple.

80.
Jessica More

Stew
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 5

She’s primarily known for her stormy romance with crew member Rob Westergaard, and for persuading him to decline a job offer on a ship bound for Bali with her. Their relationship did not last long afterwards.

79.
Paget Berry

First Officer
Below Deck Sailing YachtSeason 1

Captain Glen’s trusted assistant was quite capable of managing difficult situations, as the term “donkey dick” implies, but he struggled to handle the interpersonal conflicts among the crew. Prior to the show, he was already living with Ciara Duggan, yet during the season, he openly flirted with stew Georgia Grobler in a disrespectful manner towards Ciara. This behavior is referred to as acting like a “donkey dick.

78.
Ciara Duggan

Deckhand
Below Deck Sailing YachtSeason 1

During the off-season, Paget Berry’s girlfriend switched from working on the exterior of the vessel to managing its interior. However, tensions arose between her and chief stew Jenna MacGillivray, as she took issue with how things were being handled, despite the fact that it was no longer her responsibility. Instead of focusing on her job, she seemed preoccupied with her relationship concerns.

77.
Elena “Ellie” Dubaich

Stew
Below Deck MediterraneanSeasons 7 & 9

Initially, her appearance was limited to just two episodes towards the end of the series, during which she quickly grabbed an opportunity to don her work attire. Upon becoming a permanent cast member, she spent the entire season voicing discontent about Aesha Scott allegedly not assigning enough tasks, despite struggling with her role and being resistant to constructive criticism. Additionally, she had frequent conflicts with Bri Muller, another inept team member, over Joe Bradley.

76.
Bri Muller

Stew
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 9

Previously, stews have struggled with various tasks, yet none more so than Bri, who found even the simplest job duty – doing laundry – baffling. Captain Sandy eventually intervened when Bri persistently misplaced her undergarments. On multiple occasions, Bri displayed unwarranted affection towards Joe Bradley, which fueled her conflict with Ellie Dubaich. These two individuals share a unique bond: they are consistently inept at their roles but never short on drama.

75.
Sydney Zaruba

Deckhand
Below Deck Sailing YachtSeason 2

This crewmember quickly formed a connection with her superior, Gary King, and despite his subsequent relationship with Alli Dore, she continued to harbor feelings for him. While much of this can be attributed to Gary’s actions, it’s important to note that she was brought up on a sailing boat, making her adept at handling the vessel but less so the intricacies of relationships.

74.
Georgia Grobler

Stew
Below Deck Sailing YachtSeason 1

Madison Stalker found an unlikely ally in her difficult supervisor, Jenna MacGillivray. Their bond grew stronger than Georgia’s romantic interest in the already taken first mate, Paget Berry. By the way, did you know she also has a dance single to her name?

73.
Robert Westergaard

Deckhand
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 5

This individual presented numerous warning signs, such as texting his former girlfriend while dating Jessica More, yet he was exceptionally skilled at his job, landing him another opportunity during the same period. Unfortunately, he chose to forgo this chance and instead accompanied Jess to Bali.

72.
Kelley Johnson

Second Engineer
Below DeckSeason 2

Bosun
Below DeckSeason 4

This former Marine, with his chiseled physique, is reminiscent of the ideal male figures portrayed in “Magic Mike” films, albeit one who wasn’t always thrilled about Captain Lee’s criticisms of his mistakes. Jennice Ontiveros experienced this fantasy firsthand when they became involved, despite the fact that she already had a boyfriend. It may not have been the most respectful behavior, but it certainly made for entertaining viewing.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=watch?v=9NQJBv9o2fs

71.
Amy Johnson

Stew
Below DeckSeasons 2-3

During her initial stint, she had friction with newly-arrived Kate Chastain, creating some notable tension. However, upon her second return, Amy developed a begrudging admiration with Kate as they navigated the chaotic scenario presented by Rocky Dakota. Moreover, her and her brother Kelley’s harmonious partnership is a rare sight within the franchise, showcasing sibling collaboration.

70.
Jaimee Neale

Stew
Below Deck Down UnderSeason 2

Midway through the season, she arrived and left an immense impression on Culver Bradbury, who attempted to depart with her post-season, as well as Luka Brunton, who seemed to be her preference.

69.
David Pascoe

Deckhand
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 6

It was incredibly awkward for him to have a crush on Malia White, especially since she was not only out of reach but also his superior at work.

68.
Chase Lemacks

Deckhand
Below Deck Sailing YachtSeasons 4-5

This good-intentioned individual was more of a misfit than inept at his role; he consistently lacked the ability to gauge social situations, and his overly casual behaviors often alienated some of the team (particularly many of the women who were put off by his frequent discussions about breasts). Neither Gary King nor Daisy Kelleher expressed approval when Captain Glenn decided to rehire him as a new member for the upcoming season.

67.
Travis Michalzik

Lead Deckhand
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 4

Kind and honorable, Travis confronted Chef Mila when she launched into a hateful speech about homosexuality; however, his heavy drinking caused him to act inappropriately at times, such as delivering an unwarranted tap on the sleeping Anastasia Surmava which appeared more like a hard slap.

66.
Alli Dore

Stew
Below Deck Sailing YachtSeason 2

This stew is more notable for its romantic encounter with Dani Soares in the master suite, rather than being remembered as one of Gary King’s girlfriends.

65.
Dani Soares

Stew
Below Deck Sailing YachtSeason 2

During her stewardess tenure, her romantic entanglements with fellow crew members Alli Dore and Jean-Luc Cerza Lanaux certainly set her apart. However, it was only later, upon learning she was pregnant with Jean-Luc’s child, that events took an intriguing turn.

64.
João Franco

Deckhand/Bosun
Below Deck MediterraneanSeasons 3-4

2nd Officer/Bosun
Below Deck Down UnderSeason 2

Why can’t someone wipe the self-satisfied expression from this former deckhand now bosun’s face? He has an intoxicated persona known as “Jezabob” who insulted Hannah Ferrier and disparaged other female crew members on the ship. Upon returning to Down Under, he claimed to have changed his ways, but remains unpleasant.

63.
Jake Foulger

Deckhand
Below DeckSeason 9

A man who often exposed himself while under the influence of alcohol, Jake once attempted a threesome with Fraser Olender and Rayna Lindsey that didn’t come to fruition. Despite this, he excelled at his job so much that he was promoted to the position of lead deckhand. He has since built a secondary career out of exposing himself on Twitter (NSFW) and OnlyFans.

62.
Rhylee Gerber

Deckhand
Below DeckSeasons 6-7

In a past life, this tough-as-nails woman from Alaska, once a fisherman, didn’t shy away from expressing her opinions even when surrounded by an exclusively male deck crew. At times, she made her voice heard quite loudly. Though she could be seen as dramatic at times, more often than not, her assertions proved to be correct!

61.
Kyle Viljoen

Stew
Below Deck MediterraneanSeasons 7-8

He excelled at interacting with guests and was always the center of attention at social gatherings. Regrettably, his source of energy seemed to be fueled by gossip, criticisms, backbiting, and chaos. He stood out as one of the most detrimental individuals on reality TV, which speaks volumes about him. He managed to infuse an overwhelming amount of negativity into relationships, often making people dislike him intensely.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=watch?v=H-RD1uupCkI

60.
Natalya Scudder

Stew
Below Deck MediterraneanSeasons 7-8

On the contrary to her complicated friend-foe Kyle Viljoen, Natalya was a diligent worker with exceptional skills in housekeeping. However, her unique talent lay in her knack for escalating any conflict she found herself in, making it even more tumultuous. She departed prematurely during her second term and was hardly missed, despite unexpectedly reappearing to stir up trouble on the last night out. Yet, her proficiency at her job and her penchant for drama kept her near the top of the list.

59.
Mark Howard

Captain
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 1

In Hannah Ferrier’s words, “He was quite different from Captain Sandy. He mostly handled the boat and stayed in his cabin, which made my job easier. However, this made the show a bit challenging to watch during its first season.” Out of respect for the deceased, let us not speak ill of him, as he passed away in 2021.

58.
Culver Bradbury

Deckhand
Below Deck Down UnderSeasons 1-2

Initially, the carefree image of “Keith Stone,” portrayed as the “chief entertainment officer,” complete with a mullet and party-boy persona, was endearing, as well as his romantic overtures towards Brittini Burton. However, during his second season, there was a significant drop in his performance, and his boat romance with Jaimee Neale became quite awkward. He even went so far as to write her a note asking if she would be his girlfriend, yes or no.

57.
Marcos Spaziani

Chef
Below Deck Sailing YachtSeason 3

Kind-hearted individual with excellent culinary skills and a relaxed personality. It’s wishful thinking that there are many more like him, as it would make for a less captivating program.

56.
Lucy Edmunds

Junior Stew
Below Deck Sailing YachtSeason 4

Despite encountering a few challenging incidents, such as cleaning vomit and feces from a distasteful guest’s room, she managed to push through and maintain a positive outlook throughout.

55.
Tom Checketts

Chef
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 5

As a passionate cinephile, I can’t help but recall an incident from the set of my favorite reality series. After the unexpected departure of Chef Kiko, I found myself in a situation where Malia White convinced Captain Sandy to bring on her then-beau, Tom. However, it soon became apparent that he was more of a liability than an asset. His culinary skills were commendable, but his personality left much to be desired.

He had a knack for throwing tantrums whenever he felt his dishes weren’t up to par, and once even lashed out at Aesha Scott when she asked him to return from his break early to cook. It’s important to stand up for our beloved Aesha in these situations!

54.
Kyle Stillie

Deckhand
Below DeckSeason 11

A diligent individual who takes pleasure in being bare, and given the level of blurring when he’s seen au naturel, he seems to be thriving quite nicely. It was unnecessary for Barbie Pascual to feel torn about their encounter.

53.
Byron Hissey

Chief Engineer
Below Deck Sailing YachtSeason 1

The main engineer opted to remain in the engine room, choosing not to partake in the ship’s onboard dramas. This left him proficient in just one aspect of his duties. But hey, that camera is there for a purpose, you know!

52.
Kasie Faddah

Stew
Below Deck AdventureSeason 1

She put in a lot of effort and maintained focus amidst a chaotic group. Despite being playful and lively, she stood out as one of the rare bright spots in this failing franchise. It’s just that we can’t quite pinpoint the origin of her unique accent yet.

51.
Jack Luby

Chef
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 8

A skillful and proficient cook, his lone error lay in becoming entangled in the long-running drama involving Tumi Mhlongo and Natalya Scudder.

50.
Madison Stalker

Stew, Below Deck Sailing Yacht, Season 1

When I imagine Madison, she seems to be balancing a tray in my mind, reflecting her diligent nature and ability to stay calm under pressure. This trait proved particularly useful during instances when Jenna MacGillivray was preoccupied, such as when she was romantically involved with the chef. Similarly, her level-headedness was crucial in situations where a male guest inappropriately lifted her without consent.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=watch?v=r1K5mBuorQg

49.
Nathan Morley

Deckhand
Below Deck AdventureSeason 1

During his season, he was the sole Black crew member. Kyle Dickard threatened him over a toilet-flushing incident, but his bosun, Lewis Lupton, failed to support him. Despite this, he was the deckhand who could consistently assist the interior team and keep the guests entertained.

48.
Mads Herrera

Junior Stew
Below Deck Sailing YachtSeason 4

As a devoted cinephile, I finally got the chance to serve Gary King a dose of his own medicine. You see, I’d been keeping our relationship casual, stringing him along while he harbored deeper feelings for me. When he tried to assert his control, I turned the tables by continuing to see him and casually dismissing it as just physical intimacy, all the while knowing its emotional weight for him. This, my friends, is the essence of feminism in action.

47.
Brittini Burton

Deckhand
Below Deck Down UnderSeason 1

Despite having an unappealing name, she was a top-notch crew member on the boat. Working tirelessly under the stern supervision of Jamie Sayed, who exuded a very masculine presence as bosun, wasn’t a walk in the park, but she never failed to complete her tasks without a single complaint.

46.
Ileisha Dell

Chef
Below Deck Sailing YachtSeason 4

Instead of maintaining a low profile while cooking, typically expected from a yacht chef, she took a break from the usual dramatic flair and prepared meals peacefully, offering a refreshing shift in the show’s dynamics.

45.
Lily Davison

Stew
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 8

Initially, she found herself incapable of performing even simple tasks like doing laundry. However, after receiving extensive help and guidance from Tumi Mhlongo, everything started making sense to her, thankfully.

44.
Alex Propson

Deckhand
Below Deck Sailing YachtSeason 4

Calm, alluring, and diligent, Alex truly embodies the complete package. His charm was even recognized by Bravo, leading them to invite him to “Winter House“, where he left a far greater impression than he did during his time on the “Parsifal III“.

43.
Tyler Walker

Deckhand/Stew, Below Deck, Season 10

Despite being a newcomer who joined midway through the season, the quiet deckhand-cook managed to leave an indelible mark on everyone. This was achieved when a guest’s captivating drag performance moved him to share his personal story of self-discovery and acceptance – his journey towards coming out.

42.
Courtney Skippon

Stew
Below DeckSeason 7

She advanced to the position of second steward and developed a strong connection with Kate Chastain, yet it’s puzzling why she chose to enter a relationship with the abhorrent Brian de Saint Pern.

41.
Jessika Asai

Stew
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 8

From my personal perspective, it seems that this woman has a unique approach to her roles and relationships. She carries herself with a humble demeanor, preferring to follow rather than lead. This trait of hers is commendable, as it demonstrates her willingness to learn and grow under the guidance of others.

In her professional life, she excels at her job, taking instructions gracefully and executing them flawlessly. I admire her dedication and work ethic, as they are qualities that not everyone possesses.

As for her romantic life, she has a peculiar fondness for Luka Brunton, despite being aware of his reputation as an F-boy. Her sweet affection towards him is intriguing, suggesting either great resilience or a certain level of naivety. However, it’s essential to remember that everyone’s experiences are unique, and we can never truly understand someone else’s heart unless we walk a mile in their shoes.

In any case, her story serves as an interesting exploration of human nature and the complexities of relationships. It reminds us that everyone has their own journey, and we should respect and appreciate each other’s paths without judgment.

40.
Margot Sisson

Stew
Below Deck Down Under Season 2

She handled the distressing possibility of a sexual assault by a shipmate commendably, and swiftly straightened up upon being found intoxicated at work. Overall, an impressive display, despite some turbulent moments.

39.
Jen Riservato

Deckhand
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 1

As a fan, I found it challenging not to empathize with Jen, one of the open cast members, when Bosun Bryan Kattenburg seemed overly critical of her mistakes, while giving leeway to the male crew members. This dynamic culminated in a memorable confrontation between Jen and a tipsy Bobby Giancola, which was quite the spectacle.

38.
Jennice Ontiveros

Deckhand
Below DeckSeason 2

Let’s applaud our first female deckhand! She faced numerous challenges as the lone woman on the crew, particularly when it came to setting up that challenging slide. However, she persevered through adversity and never gave up. The will-they-won’t-they tension between her and Kelley Johnson was palpable until they eventually did [something together]. I wonder if she ever shared this exciting development with her partner?

37.
Storm Smith

Lead Deckhand/Bosun, Below Deck Mediterranean, Season 7

After Raygan Tyler was dismissed as bosun, a man with a mustache and tattoos assumed the role. He was endearing in his struggle to handle the uncertainty of a new promotion and his heartwarming camaraderie with Zee Dempers. However, he wasn’t as endearing when pursuing romance with stew Natalya Scudder.

36.
Kerry Titheradge

Captain
Below Deck Adventure Season 1
Below Deck Season 11

It seems that the new captain on the flagship show struggled to live up to Captain Lee’s legacy, as I found his performance less than satisfactory. He possesses a somewhat casual demeanor that may be grating to some viewers and, like Captain Lee, he tends to leave crew members to their own devices in terms of management – an approach that might be seen as outdated and detrimental to their professional growth. His delayed reprimand of Chef Jessica Condy for her disruptive behavior towards the staff was disappointing, coming close to the end of the season. Similarly, his lack of support for Fraser Olender during a challenging period with Barbie Pascual left much to be desired. Perhaps with more experience, he will improve over time.

35.
Lloyd Spencer

Deckhand
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 6

I’ve encountered many individuals throughout my years, but none quite like Lloyd. He was a charismatic soul who possessed an infectious energy that could light up any room he entered. His dance moves were nothing short of hilarious and endearing, making even the most serious of gatherings feel like a joyous celebration.

But what truly set Lloyd apart was his courage and authenticity. He fearlessly came out to the crew as sexually fluid, a decision that took immense strength and bravery. His acceptance of himself was an inspiration to us all, teaching us the importance of being true to who we are.

To top it off, not a single bad word could be found on Lloyd’s lips. He spoke with kindness and respect, always finding ways to uplift those around him. I can honestly say that I couldn’t love him more. His spirit left an indelible mark on my heart and continues to guide me in embracing my own truth.

34.
Alex Radcliffe

Deckhand
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 5

A diligent individual with feelings for Bugsy Drake, Alex stood out as a top-notch crew member across the board. As the season drew to a close, he was given the promotion to head deckhand.

33.
Izzy Wouters

Deckhand
Below DeckSeason 8

This crew member had strong dislike for Chief Stewardess Francesca Rubi, much like many viewers did, which might explain why she moved from interior to deck crew early during the season. Her conflict with Robert Phillips, who was initially named lead deckhand over her, only fueled her determination – and let’s be honest, she was terrific!

32.
Hayley De Sola Pinto

Stew
Below DeckSeason 10

Reliable and swift, always ready with a witty remark, this British colleague was the only one that Fraser Olender felt confident in during the chaotic tenth season. She even earned bonus points for her fantastic hairstyle!

31.
David Bradberry

Deckhand
Below DeckSeasons 1 & 3

In this captivating film review, I found myself utterly enthralled by the charming, soft-spoken protagonist – a deckhand with an enigmatic demeanor. Yet, when he opened up about his journey as an openly gay member of the yachting community and his unique friendships with his straight shipmates, I was truly captivated. The highlight, undoubtedly, was the poignant moment when Trevor proposed to him via Skype – a heartwarming scene that left audiences in tears. However, it’s worth mentioning that their relationship has since ended, leaving one wondering if they could potentially strike up a conversation with this intriguing character on social media.

30.
Luka Brunton

Lead Deckhand, Below Deck Down Under, Season 2
Bosun, Below Deck Mediterranean, Season 8

In the land of “Down Under,” he wasn’t particularly notable for his diligence or kind-heartedness among the crew, possibly due to a lack of interest in his fellow team members. However, his charming smile hinted at potential mischief once he embarked on the “Mustique.” Remarkably, he managed to win over Natalya Scudder, Jessika Asai, and even Katie Flood within a single season, despite the latter not being part of the crew. The captain promoted him to bosun, where he excelled at handling an occasionally unruly team, although his romantic escapades with the ladies often landed him in hot water.

29.
Tony Duarte

Deckhand
Below DeckSeason 10

With curly hair and a well-built physique, Tony often grew frustrated when work interfered with his exercise regimen. However, he remained a diligent employee and a beacon of positivity amidst a challenging time.

28.
Jack Stirrup

Deckhand
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 4

Instead of putting in so many hours at work, the charismatic and amusing British man spent a significant amount of time courting Aesha Scott. This included creating a banner from a bedsheet to ask her to be his girlfriend with a question mark written on his torso. (I’m still puzzled about how he managed to get that off his body.) Despite him cheating on Aesha once the filming was over, I find it hard not to like him – such is his charm.

27.
Harry Van Vliet

Deckhand
Below Deck Down UnderSeason 2

This tall, jovial character was always the center of attention at parties. He didn’t shy away from the gaze of guests and eagerly seized opportunities to wear his swim briefs, often referred to as budgie smugglers. An excellent, hassle-free member for any team.

26.
Lara Du Preez

Lead Deckhand
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 8

A straightforward, hard-edged individual named Lara, with a penchant for frank speech, would be an ideal addition to any deck team. Her intolerance towards Max Salvador, while bracingly honest, was appreciated by all. Bring her back as the bosun, please!

25.
Anastasia Surmava

Stew/Chef
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 4

After Chef Mila Kolomeitseva was let go without a replacement, this self-taught chef took on the responsibility of managing the kitchen from preparing stews to overseeing the entire galley. Although it was a difficult task, she generally handled it well, except for her inability to handle lobsters due to her vegetarian diet. The crew, audience, and Anastasia seemed grateful when Chef Ben stepped in towards the end of the season, allowing Mila to return to her personal space.

24.
Glenn Shephard

Captain
Below Deck Sailing YachtSeasons 1-5

Occasionally, it appears that his Canadian demeanor might be hindering him from effectively performing his duties; he’s so reserved that when his drunk roommate Alex Propson attempted to use his head as a nightstand, he didn’t protest. However, he did cancel the crew’s day off when they damaged a sofa and failed to clean it up. It seems that sailing and the deckhands who enable it are his primary concerns, which could explain why Gary King has been able to dominate the crew for four seasons without any significant intervention. All captains seem to favor the exterior aspects, but Glenn allows this to happen so frequently that he either overlooks the interior or criticizes it excessively. Despite all of this, he certainly is a kind individual.

23.
Tzarina Mace-Ralph

Chef
Below Deck Down UnderSeason 2

Funny and disorderly, yet exceptionally skilled as a cook. However, she had poor judgment when it came to choosing partners. For instance, she became involved with João Franco despite the fact he was previously involved with one of her friends. At least she openly called him out for being insincere. No signs of deception were observed.

22.
Colin Macy-O’Toole

Deckhand
Below Deck MediterraneanSeasons 3-4

This small-town lad, ever brimming with warmth and charm, was always at hand with a friendly grin and a semi-cheesy joke to brighten up everyone aboard. He carried out his duties diligently, never uttered a single complaint, and remained an all-around delightful presence. Bonus points go to him for continuing to captain the Fire Island ferry, ensuring that the summer’s festive revellers have a destination to dance their nights away.

21.
Tumi Mhlongo

Stew
Below Deck Down UnderSeason 1

Chief Stew
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 8

Originally hailing from Down Under, the queen of dining arrangement, found herself as the head stewardess sailing the Mediterranean waters. Joining the crew towards the end of her second voyage, she encountered tension with Natalya Scudder, and was reprimanded for speaking negatively about the staff on more than one occasion. However, she managed to turn things around, shaped her team effectively, and ended the season triumphantly.

20.
Josiah Carter

Stew, Below Deck Season 6

Initially, our unique male stew member developed a close friendship with Kate Chastain, who identifies as gay. This dynamic pair was unstoppable, often sharing laughter and expressing mutual frustrations over their troublesome colleague, Caroline Bedol.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=watch?v=c85OeXu5d2E

19.
Malia White

Deckhand
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 2

Bosun
Below Deck MediterraneanSeasons 5-6

Dramatic incidents seem to trail Malia wherever she goes, much like the scent trails of Pepé Le Pew. In her debut season, she became involved with two ship crew members, and in her second, she orchestrated the dismissal of Chef Kiko Lorain so that Tom Checketts could join the team. However, things did not go smoothly for her in the end. Captain Sandy held a soft spot for her, but many fans had mixed feelings about her antics. Despite this, Malia managed to make a significant impression; though she hasn’t returned to Below Deck, Bravo recognized her staying power by featuring her on Winter House.

18.
Mzi “Zee” Dempers

Deckhand
Below Deck MediterraneanSeasons 6-7

Initially inexperienced, Zee managed to grow past his limited understanding by putting in a lot of effort, maintaining a cheerful demeanor, and offering words of encouragement. He’s now highly respected on the team, and everyone, from guests to colleagues and fans, adores him, although Courtney Veale, the object of his lifelong affection, never reciprocated.

17.
Bobby Giancola

Deckhand
Below Deck MediterraneanSeasons 1-2

In a friendly and engaging manner, Bobby stood out as a large, muscular, and swift individual who quickly became popular among the early team and spectators. However, neither Julia d’Albert Pusey nor Malia White reciprocated his romantic feelings. There was an instance where he found himself in a sticky situation due to kissing a guest, not one of the regular cast members.

16.
Sandy Yawn

Captain
Below Deck MediterraneanSeasons 2-8
Below DeckSeason 10

Amongst all characters in the franchise, Captain Sandy stands out as being particularly divisive. Some perceive her as an attentive and supportive leader towards the crew, while others view her as overly controlling or a micromanager. To some, she champions the role of female deckhands, but others believe she favors Malia White due to romantic inclinations. While many still hold grudges against her for dismissing Hannah Ferrier, others argue that her approach towards the crew is far more effective than Captain Lee’s frequent shouting. Regardless of one’s stance, it is clear that Captain Sandy has left an indelible mark on the series, sparking intense debates and proving herself to be a remarkable figure both in reality TV and as a captain – striking a balance between maintaining order and providing engaging content for viewers.

15.
Raquel “Rocky” Dakota

Stew, Below Deck Season 3

In a single season, Rocky stood out among many by achieving remarkable feats. Despite being reprimanded for scaling the boat close to the radar, she daringly leapt from the ship while it was sailing, only to be rescued by another vessel. Furthermore, she maintained a clandestine romance with Eddie Lucas throughout the season. Indeed, she was an unstoppable force of chaos, and her memory will forever linger in our hearts.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=watch?v=p0qAda3VvGM

14.
Katie Flood

Chief Stew
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 6

Katie possessed numerous admirable qualities: an infectious grin, strong leadership skills, and remarkable dedication to her work. Taking over from Hannah Ferrier was no easy feat, and while Katie excelled in many areas, she sometimes lacked conviction in her choices and the opportunity to return for a second season on the show. Given her history with several show alumni, including Tom Schwartz on “Winter House,” it’s high time we consider inviting her back!

13.
Courtney Veale

Stew/Deckhand
Below Deck MediterraneanSeason 6-7

Stepping out of my comfort zone as an interior crew member, I took on the challenge of working on deck – and I must say, it was a delightful experience! My enthusiasm, laughter, and positive vibes were there every step of the way. If only Zee had reciprocated my feelings, we could have been an unstoppable duo, two go-getters making waves in the film industry together.

12.
Bugsy Drake

Stew
Below Deck MediterraneanSeasons 2 & 5

As a long-time viewer of Below Deck Mediterranean, I must say that I’ve always been captivated by the charismatic and composed nature of Christine “The Queen of Theme” Barker. Her ability to transform a tablescape into a work of art is truly impressive, but it’s her calming presence during the show’s tumultuous fifth season that left an indelible mark on me.

When Lara Flumiani unexpectedly stepped down and Hannah Ferrier was let go, Christine graciously stepped up to the plate as a last-minute fill-in, eventually being promoted to chief stew. Despite finding herself in the middle of the Malia vs. Hannah dispute, she handled it with poise and professionalism that truly set her apart.

It’s a shame that production hasn’t brought back this fan favorite for another season on the high seas. Christine’s unique blend of competence, kindness, and resilience made her a joy to watch, and I can’t help but wonder what new adventures she might have in store for us.

And as an added tidbit, for those who may not know, her real name is indeed Christine – a fact that only adds to my admiration for this remarkable woman!

11.
Colin Macrae

Chief Engineer
Below Deck Sailing YachtSeason 2-4

This individual showcased exceptional engineering abilities by successfully rescuing a malfunctioning engine and an entire charter season. Earlier on, he served as a sort of conscience for Gary King, constantly trying to rein him in but ultimately not succeeding. However, in the fourth season, he found himself entangled in a romantic triangle involving Gary and Daisy Kelliher, discovering firsthand just how ruthless Gary could be towards his competition. He truly deserves someone more worthy than either of them.

10.
Fraser Olender

Chief Stew
Below DeckSeasons 9-11

Originally a stew, the dedicated British crew member climbed up the ranks to become chief stew during the following season. Despite his diligence and concentration, he frequently clashed with Captain Sandy when she temporarily replaced Captain Lee, often trying excessively to be friends with his fellow stews rather than asserting his authority as their superior. He also struggled with Captain Kerry when she took over for Lee, having to handle a few crew members whom he felt should have been let go. Nevertheless, he remains one of the show’s more endearing cast members, and I often recall him whenever I employ his unique method for plumping pillows.

9.
Daisy Kelliher

Chief Stew
Below Deck Sailing YachtSeason 2-5

It appears that Daisy often gives off an air of being overburdened, yet this stems from the fact that Captain Glenn and the other deck crew members are not acknowledging her outstanding work. Her exceptional talent for interacting with guests and maintaining order makes her a top-notch chief stew. Despite her complex relationship with Gary King and Colin Macrae, which nearly derailed season four, she remains captivating. The peculiar relationship between Daisy and Gary, particularly when they shared a bunk in season five, is one of the most intriguing aspects on television.

8.
Jason Chambers

Captain
Below Deck Down UnderSeason 1-2

The most charismatic man on Bravo could also be an exceptional leader. He’s friendly with the team and directs them, but won’t tolerate any disrespect from them, as his mirrorball helmet at the end of each voyage signals. He skillfully managed a double sexual misconduct incident, and his bond with Aesha Scott recalls Captain Lee–Kate Chastain dynamics (but with fewer father-daughter undertones and more big brother–little sister energy). They’re one of the most engaging duos to observe, particularly when he gets animated.

7.
Eddie Lucas

Deckhand/Bosun/First Officer
Below DeckSeasons 1-3 & 8-9

Apart from Kate Chastain, Captain Lee appeared to hold high regard for only one individual – Eddie, a kind, capable, and balanced deckhand who later became bosun. This is likely why he chose to come back after Kate left the show. However, Eddie has some drawbacks; for instance, he didn’t support his fellow deckhand Rayna Lindsey when she faced racially insensitive comments, and there was also his controversial relationship with stew Rocky Dakota that often angered Lee, who considered him like a son.

6.
Rachel Hargrove

Chef, Below Deck Seasons 8-10

Following an inaugural season filled with questionable behavior, including drunken incidents that caused embarrassment for the entire crew during their downtime, Rachel subsequently transformed into an eccentric, vocal chef who surprisingly found harmony with her colleagues. Despite instances where she threatened to resign and exclaimed “Eat my cooter” in front of Captain Lee, her relationship with the captain was particularly noteworthy during the period following Kate Chastain’s departure.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=watch?v=cZ2ltDR4Hww

5.
Lee Rosbach

Captain
Below DeckSeasons 1-10

The marine titan, who was known as the emblematic figure for the show, stepped down towards the end of season ten due to health issues. His rough demeanor and folksy expressions (“I’m angrier than a wet hen”) gave him the stern, disapproving father-like persona that many envision a captain should possess. He preferred to adopt a more laissez-faire approach when it came to managing his crew, often leaving them to solve problems on their own rather than guiding them towards improvement. However, he consistently adhered to his motto “Avoid disgracing yourself and the boat.” Over a ten-year stint at sea and in front of the cameras, he successfully avoided both scenarios.

4.
Hannah Ferrier

Chief Stew
Below Deck MediterraneanSeasons 1-5

In her stint as a reality TV personality on “Below Deck,” she engaged in various dramas: she dated a fellow crew member, had conflicts with Captain Sandy, and broke one of the strictest rules by getting romantically involved with a guest. Yet, she was an efficient chief stew who maintained order on the ship, until her last season where she seemed somewhat disengaged. Despite this, she managed to get along well with both the guests and viewers before being dismissed for possessing a “Below Deck” diary and undeclared Valium onboard. Her panic attacks were predicted to be her eventual undoing (“It’s the anxiety, Sandy!”), but even during her anxious moments, she continued to make captivating television.

3.
Ben Robinson

Chef
Below DeckSeasons 1-4
Below Deck MediterraneanSeasons 1 & 4

As a movie critic, I can confidently say that Chef Ben, with his knack for humor, culinary prowess, and a dash of lunacy, truly established the benchmark for what one might expect from a ship’s chef. His complex dynamic with the inimitable Kate Chastain provided an intriguing narrative throughout many seasons, particularly when their verbal sparring matches reached a fever pitch. The romantic sojourn in season four between Ben and Emily Warburton-Adams was a captivating moment, as were the instances where Ben temporarily took over for a chef who had been relieved of duty. Despite his occasional irritating tendencies, his British charm undeniably endeared him to both the crew and viewers alike.

2.
Aesha Scott

As a passionate fan, I’ve had the privilege of serving as Chief Stew on seasons 4-5 of Below Deck Mediterranean. Before that, I was part of the crew in seasons 1-2 of Below Deck Down Under. Now, I’m ready to embark on a new adventure with the crew of Below Deck Mediterranean during its ninth season.

As a devoted moviegoer, I’d rephrase it like this: Kate Chastain and Hannah Ferrier set the standard for the Amiable Yet Slightly Spicy Crew Member, but Aesha Scott completely redefined the mold. She was a delightful stew on Med, but she truly shone as a chief on Down Under. Upon her comeback to Med , she solidified herself as an embodiment of how one can excel at work, remain positively radiant, and still be side-splittingly funny. Her handling of a sexual assault incident onboard showed great initiative and empathy, but it’s her zany camaraderie with Captain Jason that truly resonates. He treats her not as an underling, but as a friend, which is evident by the daily contacts he sets for her. Adapting to two challenging stews upon her return to Med, she eventually found her footing. That’s Aesha for you: always victorious, always gracious.

1.
Kate Chastain

Chief Stew
Below DeckSeasons 2-8

Essentially, the thriving popularity of the entire franchise is largely due to Kate’s contributions. Her mix of quick-witted commentaries, jabs at ineffective colleagues, and her often-expressed displeasure with annoying guests made her a stand-in for the audience, transforming Below Deck from a Bravo runner-up to one of its most successful series. Her rapport with Captain Lee and Ben Robinson offered glimpses into the tender heart beneath her (admittedly) stern exterior. From crafting a bedsheet penis as a rocket ship for a guest to her season-four romance, or even her flings with crew members from neighboring boats, Kate always managed to keep things intriguing. This knack for keeping viewers engaged carried over into her fan-favorite roles in two seasons of The Traitors.
