Escape From Duckov on PS5, Xbox, and Switch? What we know about the game’s console release

Parody is a creative art form, and we’ve seen several funny games successfully poke fun at others. For example, Totally Accurate Battlegrounds parodied PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and the battle royale genre. Now, another shooter is getting the parody treatment. Just before the full release of the often-controversial Escape from Tarkov 1.0, a parody called Escape From Duckov has already launched on Steam. Currently, there’s no indication it will be released on consoles like PS5, Xbox, or Switch. Let’s take a look at the possibility of that happening.

Escape From Duckov PS5, Xbox and Switch release

It’s fantastic that so many games are now available on various platforms, ensuring everyone can enjoy them. Sometimes, smaller independent games delay releasing versions for other consoles due to various challenges. Since Escape From Duckov has already launched successfully on Steam, fans are hopeful that PlayStation 5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch versions will follow, and that seems reasonable.

It’s not a simple yes or no answer. Right now, Team Soda hasn’t officially announced any plans to release the game on consoles. And currently, the game doesn’t even fully work with controllers, which doesn’t suggest a console release is likely anytime soon.

Despite current limitations, the game’s strong start on PC and Mac offers hope that the developers might eventually expand its reach. However, many players are hoping for a multiplayer or co-op mode, as Escape From Duckov is currently designed only for single-player gameplay.
