Netflix recently published a 50-minute interview with Eric Dane called Famous Last Words: Eric Dane. In it, the actor shares a heartfelt message for both his family and his supporters.
The actor famous for his role as Dr. Mark Sloan – nicknamed McSteamy – on the hit TV show Grey’s Anatomy, has died. He passed away ten months after being diagnosed with ALS.
The new Netflix series, Famous Last Words, featuring an interview with Eric Dane, was released today following the actor’s recent death. He requested the interview not be published until after his passing. The series began last year with a posthumous interview with Dr. Jane Goodall, and Netflix accompanied the release of Dane’s interview with a statement.
Eric Dane gave an interview before he died, asking that it be released only after his passing. In it, he spoke openly about his fight with ALS, his history with addiction, and his relationship with his wife, Rebecca Gayheart. He shared that he would never love anyone as much as he loved her, saying, ‘I will never, by the time anybody sees this, have fallen in love with another woman as deeply as I fell in love with Rebecca.’
