‘Equalizer’ Potential Spinoff Casts Titus Welliver, Juani Feliz in Lead Roles

Titus Welliver and Juani Feliz are set to appear as special guests in an upcoming episode of “The Equalizer.” Their performances may pave the way for a possible spin-off focusing on their characters.

Initially, it was announced in November that CBS was considering a spin-off from the Queen Latifah-led remake of the 1980s action crime drama. Now, Welliver and Feliz are set to appear in episode 16 of the current fifth season. If the spin-off proceeds, they could be offered regular roles.

Welliver takes on the role of Hudson Reed, a retired CIA operative harboring a hidden past, who shares a connection with Robin McCall (Queen Latifah) through an old mentor. Meanwhile, Feliz portrays Samanta Reed, a weapons expert and martial artist, adept at blending into her surroundings while concealing a shrouded history.

Titus Welliver recently completed a ten-year run portraying Detective Harry Bosch, first on the Amazon Prime Video series “Bosch” from 2014 to 2021, then on “Bosch: Legacy” on Amazon Freevee since 2022. The final season of “Legacy” is set to premiere in March. Besides his work as Bosch, Welliver is recognized for roles in shows such as “Lost,” “Sons of Anarchy,” and “Deadwood,” as well as films like “Gone Baby Gone,” “The Town,” and “Argo.”

He is repped by UTA and Leverage Management.
