Starting March 25th, the popular sci-fi graphic novel series “Red Rising: Sons of Ares” is coming out in a large, combined edition called an omnibus. These graphic novels act as prequels to Pierce Brown’s acclaimed book series “Red Rising.” This omnibus marks the first time all three volumes are bundled together. Previously, single-volume releases have become difficult to find and quite costly, making this omnibus particularly attractive for fans eager to explore the origins of this extensive sci-fi world. The “Red Rising: Sons of Ares Omnibus” will be available in both hardcover and paperback versions, with preorders for both editions now open on Amazon.
With ample time before the Sons of Ares Omnibus debut, now is an excellent opportunity to delve into the original series. At present, it comprises six installments, with a seventh in the pipeline (though no specific launch date has been disclosed yet). If you’re new to the storyline, I recommend checking out the Red Rising 3-Book Box Set currently discounted on Amazon for $43.13 (originally $54). Contained within are paperback editions of the first three books – Red Rising, Golden Sun, and Morning Star – as well as a sneak peek at the fourth book, Iron Gold. You can also purchase standalone paperback or hardcover versions of all six books in the series. Here’s a list of all the books for your convenience:
1. Red Rising
2. Golden Son
3. Morning Star
4. Iron Gold
5. Dark Age (upcoming)
6. Titan (upcoming)
In addition to books and comic book adaptations, this series has also introduced a board game version called “Red Rising Board Game.” This game positions players as leaders of various Houses battling for societal power. You get to choose whether to maintain the class system or overthrow it in pursuit of a revolution. Right now, you can purchase this game at Amazon for $20 (originally $25).
