Epic is giving away a game where you raise a severed head in a plant pot

Epic Games Store is giving away one of the weirdest games ever made right now, and it’s just as strange as it sounds.

Tomak: Save the Earth Regeneration throws players into a post-apocalyptic world where humanity is on the brink of destruction, and the gods have decided to leave Earth. Sounds like a fairly normal sci-fi style story, right? Wrong!

Forget joining a heroic quest – in this quirky visual novel, you’ll be caring for a disembodied head… and not just any head! It belongs to Evian, who also happens to be the Goddess of Love. Talk about an unusual situation!

You’re tasked with caring for a truly bizarre bonsai tree, and succeeding means proving that people are worth saving. This 2001 visual novel is as wonderfully strange as it sounds, and best of all, it’s completely free – an incredible deal!

Take care of this goddess in a plant pot

Okay, so I was wondering how you actually care for this severed head plant pot – it’s a weird concept, right? Apparently, the game describes it as being similar to a dating sim! You have three years in the game to basically nurture and take care of your… godly companion. It sounds wild, but I’m really intrigued!

Taking care of her means providing food and water, spending time talking to her, and simply being kind. If you do all of this, she’ll get her godly powers back and save everyone. But if you don’t, the world is doomed! (It’s a lot more responsibility than caring for a typical pet.)

The game has several different endings, giving you a reason to play it again. If you’re interested in a unique challenge and don’t mind a bit of a strange game, you can try Tomak: Save the Earth Regeneration for free until April 16, 2026 – otherwise, it costs $8.99.

It’s strange, but a game where you raise a bonsai anime girl is actually less bizarre than an app for MacBooks that makes noise when you touch it. It just goes to show you never know what you’ll see!
