Peacock has revealed when Emma Stone’s new film, a darkly comedic sci-fi movie called Bugonia, will start streaming. The film is a remake of the 2003 South Korean movie Save the Green Planet! and reunites Stone with director Yorgos Lanthimos.

This thrilling movie centers on two young men convinced a powerful CEO is actually an alien intent on destroying the world, so they kidnap him. What starts as a paranoid scheme quickly becomes a chaotic struggle for control, filled with unpredictable twists and thought-provoking ideas.

Starting December 26th, you can stream ‘Bugonia’ only on Peacock. The film was well-received after its premiere at the 2025 Venice International Film Festival, earning an 87% ‘Certified Fresh’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes from 307 reviews. It’s also up for three Golden Globe Awards, including nominations for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, Best Actor, and Best Actress.

Yorgos Lanthimos directed the film, based on a screenplay by Will Tracy. Ari Aster, known for directing Midsommar, was a producer. The movie features a cast including Jesse Plemons, Aidan Delbis, Alicia Silverstone, and many others. It runs for a total of 1 hour and 58 minutes.
