Emiru sparks Asmongold comparisons after revealing why she doesn’t shower

Twitch streamer Emiru surprised and even grossed out many of her viewers when she explained her unusual showering habits, leading to comparisons with fellow streamer Asmongold, though she maintains she doesn’t have an odor.

Emiru celebrated her birthday on January 3rd by streaming and opening gifts. One of the presents she unwrapped was a beautiful bar of soap.

“I really enjoy taking baths,” she confessed. “Actually, I only take baths – I don’t shower at all. I just don’t like showers.”

Okay, so this streamer was talking about her routine, and it’s kinda wild. She said she sometimes takes several baths a day just to feel clean, and she really, really hates feeling dirty. Like, it bothers her a lot!

After viewers criticized her and called her “stinky,” Emiru defended herself by claiming that showers hadn’t been around for very long – only about 30 years, according to her.

Emiru shared that she prefers baths to showers, and actually doesn’t believe in using showers at all! She jokingly mentioned that showers haven’t been around for very long and people often compliment her scent. 😬👀

Showering isn’t new – the ancient Greeks and Romans practiced forms of it thousands of years ago. Even the Egyptians had special rooms where people would pour water over themselves using ceramic jugs.

The first shower resembling the ones we use today appeared in 1767, thanks to William Feetham, an English stove maker from Ludgate Hill, who invented the idea.

He invented a unique indoor shower system with a water tank, a hand pump, and a chain to release water. However, regular daily showers didn’t become popular until the early 1980s.

Emiru kept talking, pointing out that even though she only takes baths, people often compliment her scent.

The streamer jokingly asked, “How can you wash off dirt when you’re not even dirty?” They explained they rarely go outside, yet still take two baths a day and rinse off afterward.

Viewers weren’t amused and playfully nicknamed her Asmongold’s “soulmate” due to his reputation for being messy.

Earlier this year, popular streamer Asmongold shared that he finally cleaned his notoriously messy streaming area. The cleanup took three hours, and he discovered at least five old, rotten burritos during the process.

In 2025, streamer Asmongold famously said he was “evolving” by not showering for three months, and surprisingly claimed his skin was better than ever as a result.
