He claims the entire game will be created using artificial intelligence and anticipates it will be “great.” This project follows Musk’s 2024 decision to create a game studio focused on AI-driven game development.

Last November, Elon Musk expressed his belief that the film and game industries are dominated by large corporations and need disruption. He initially suggested using AI to improve games, but hadn’t said much about it since. Recently, in a response on X (formerly Twitter), Musk revealed that his AI company, xAI, is planning to release a game next year.
The XAI game studio will release a great AI-generated game before the end of next year.
We know absolutely nothing about this game – not the title, genre, story, or even if it will ever come out. If it does get released, it’s probably about two years after Elon Musk first said he’d “make games great again.”
While many people are doubtful about the billionaire’s plans, his dedicated fans are also vocal. Some have gone to extremes, predicting that Musk’s studio will become a major force in the industry, completely overshadowing its rivals.

Currently, many gamers are hesitant about the increasing use of artificial intelligence in video games. Despite this, AI is widely adopted by developers – Google reports nearly 90% are using it. However, not everyone shares this view; Shawn Layden, for example, feels AI’s impact on games is minimal.
