Elijah Wood, best known for playing Frodo in the Lord of the Rings movies, is now a DJ. He’s scheduled to perform at a fantasy-themed rave in Colorado, putting his DJ skills on display.
Although Elijah Wood has worked on many successful films and projects since playing Frodo Baggins, he’s still best known for that iconic role.
He’s been a dedicated fan of Lord of the Rings for years – remember when he unexpectedly showed up at a wedding being held on the Hobbiton movie set in New Zealand? – and his newest gesture to the fandom might be his most impressive yet.
Elijah Wood’s DJ duo performing disco at Denver rave
Wood will be DJing at a fantasy-themed rave on March 31st, joined by the well-known DJ and Emmy-nominated producer Zack Cowie.
These two DJs have been performing together for fifteen years and officially became the EDM duo ‘Wooden Wisdom’ in January 2026.
The group has been performing across the country, and their next show will especially highlight the fantasy work of Wood.
Wooden Wisdom is promising a unique event—they’re calling it a “Lord of the Rings rave”—and will be performing their eclectic vinyl sets at the Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom in Denver, Colorado.
The band plans to play a mix of both well-known favorites and lesser-known songs, heavily featuring upbeat disco music from the 70s and 80s.

Feel free to wear a costume! However, all tickets for the show are already gone, as they sold out online. Despite this, fans are flooding social media, hoping the performers will host more events like it in the future.
The news quickly went viral online, sparking big reactions on platforms like Instagram and X.
One user jokingly compared the situation to a popular 21-year-old YouTube meme – a clip of someone repeatedly shouting, ‘They’re taking the Hobbits to Isengard!’ It may seem surprising, but the original video was actually uploaded way back in 2005.
Someone jokingly asked if there would be a ‘rave troll,’ referencing a funny line from the first movie about Boromir.
Elijah Wood is set to reprise his role in a new film, ‘The Hunt for Gollum,’ and will be joined by Ian McKellen and other familiar faces from ‘The Lord of the Rings.’ This is Wood’s most recent confirmed acting project.
