Despite the Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test falling short of FromSoftware’s expectations, it still provided us with valuable insights into the forthcoming game, albeit with a test that was quite restrictive in scope.
One piece of information we now have is the game’s performance on gaming consoles such as the PS5, PS5 Pro, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. While these are just the settings from the Network Test, it’s likely that they will remain the same at launch, unless FromSoftware somehow manages to significantly change the technical aspects of the game (which seems unlikely to us).
Elden Ring Nightreign Will Feature Quality And Performance Modes

PS5:
- Quality Mode: Common 2160p at 40 FPS
- Performance Mode: Dynamic 1080p (Common 1800p) at 60 FPS
PS5 Pro:
- Quality Mode: Common 2160p at 55 FPS
- Performance Mode: Dynamic 2160p (Common 2160p) at 60 FPS
Xbox Series S:
- Quality Mode: Common 1440p at 35 FPS
- Performance Mode: Dynamic 1080p (Common 920p) at 60 FPS
Xbox Series X:
- Quality Mode: Common 2160p at 37 FPS
- Performance Mode: Dynamic 1080p (Common 1800p) at 60 FPS
It’s clear that each version will smoothly operate the game with a consistent 60 frames per second (fps), a technical aspect that’s likely the most crucial for an optimal gaming experience.
Although we’re yet to hear if there will be another Network Test, I’m quite optimistic that a public demonstration might become accessible prior to the release. As soon as we have more details, we’ll share them with you.
