Elden Ring Nightreign Launches In May, Has No Microtransactions

As a game enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that the highly anticipated Elden Ring Nightreign is set to drop on my gaming calendar come May 30! This epic adventure awaits across multiple platforms: PC, last-gen consoles (PS4 and Xbox One), as well as the latest gen systems (PS5 and Xbox Series X|S). Can’t wait to embark on this journey!

Bandai Namco has made it clear to TopMob that Elden Ring: Nightreign will not include microtransactions. Instead, the game will offer additional content as Downloadable Content (DLC), which can be purchased once to unlock extra characters, bosses, and biome features. This DLC is included in both the Deluxe and Collector’s Editions of Elden Ring: Nightreign.

Before the game’s launch, we will start our closed beta network tests this coming weekend from February 14 through February 16. In total, there are five sessions scheduled and those who registered for the beta last month have already received their network test codes via email. It appears that some individuals attempted to sell these codes for money last month, but it seems few were interested in purchasing them.

Elden Ring: Reign of Night is a unique spin on the traditional souls-like game structure. It blends roguelike and battle royale elements into a cooperative survival experience where teams of up to three players band together to survive for three days and nights. The game will also feature bosses from previous FromSoftware games, such as the Dark Souls series. Sadly, it won’t support cross-play between different platform families, but it will allow cross-generational play within the same console family.
