Elden Ring Network Test Chaos: New Session May Be Added After Server Meltdown!

After facing server problems during the initial test, FromSoftware is contemplating organizing another Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test.

A significant number of Elden Ring Nightreign’s first Network Test participants encountered issues accessing the game. Some were unable to log in or kept getting kicked out after failing to find a match, only to return to the main menu screen repeatedly. The struggle was more prevalent for PS5 users compared to Xbox and PC players, but all platforms experienced some level of trouble.

As a gamer, I’ve noticed that during some intense streaming sessions, even popular streamers and content creators like myself have encountered issues where they couldn’t access the game or platform while broadcasting live to their viewers.

Although several players managed to join in, albeit briefly, numerous ones who received access codes for the exclusive Network Test found themselves stuck at the game’s central hub or training area.

Individuals granted entry to this section of the game could solely traverse the novelty of the Roundtable Hold, devoid of any combat encounters with adversaries.

The first session was tarnished by server problems until the end

During the game session, FromSoftware paused it temporarily for server upkeep. However, even after the maintenance was completed, several players encountered difficulties in joining the test or finding an opponent.

While some participants speculated that FromSoft might prolong the gaming session, the Network Test concluded promptly at 3 pm Greenwich Mean Time.

Due to the challenges we’ve encountered, there’s a possibility that an additional Network Test will be scheduled. This is because the majority of players were unable to engage with a single boss during the initial test, either due to technical problems and subsequent maintenance, or a combination of both.

The initial run of our #ELDENRING #NIGHTREIGN online test has concluded. We’re sorry for any trouble due to server problems. Our team is actively working to enhance the test’s stability. We’re thinking about scheduling an extra online test session. Thank you for your patience.

On the official Twitter account for Elden Ring X, the developers announced that the initial session of the ELDEN RING: NIGHTREIGN network test has concluded.

Hey there, gamers! I’m really sorry about the hiccups you’ve been experiencing with our game server. We’re currently working hard to enhance its stability during this Network Test. There’s a possibility that we might organize an extra Network Test session soon. Your patience is greatly appreciated as we strive to provide you with the best gaming experience possible. Thanks!

The original Network Test schedule was:

  • Feb 14: 11:00-14:00 GMT
  • Feb 15: 03:00-06:00 GMT
  • Feb 15: 19:00-22:00 GMT
  • Feb 16: 11:00-14:00 GMT
  • Feb 17: 03:00-06:00 GMT

An additional one might be introduced sometime before or after the initial one, which is now concluded. It’s rather improbable for a new one to occur prior to the first test on February 15, but it’s possible for another to take place between that one and the second one on the same date.

rest assured, we’ll inform the players if another Network Test is scheduled for Elden Ring: Nightreign.
