Players of EA Sports FC 26 discovered a pricing mistake that let them buy in-game currency, called FC Points, for a significantly reduced price. This allowed gamers to build powerful teams for much cheaper than intended. The error initially occurred only on servers in Indonesia, but players worldwide took advantage of it by using VPNs to access those servers.
EA hasn’t commented on the reports, but several Reddit posts indicate the issue started when a player tried to buy 18,500 FC Points for around $120. Instead of being charged the full amount, they were only charged about $1.20.
It seems players worldwide discovered a glitch that lets them build incredibly strong teams for a low cost.
EA FC 26 Players Discover FC Points Pricing Error

The initial Reddit post and community feedback suggest this accidental discount may have given players an unfair edge in the game and also disrupted the in-game market.
This is why selling coins on the PC platform is so cheap and the market is in a tragic situation.

Another user shared that the incorrect pricing only seemed to affect people who paid with Apple Pay. This suggests the error may have already harmed sales of the game on computers.
People bought games, points and EA Play Pro subscriptions for peanuts. Literally.

Although EA hasn’t officially confirmed it, rumors of a huge sale are circulating, allowing players to potentially get valuable players and create their ideal teams.
The worry is that if many players took advantage of the price mistake and bought top-rated players using FC points, it would create an imbalance in Ultimate Team, with too many incredibly strong teams. This could ruin the game for other players who weren’t able to exploit the error.
