EA FC 25 Players Outraged Over New Rule Ruining Golden Goal Matches!

As a gamer, I’m super pumped about this year’s Team of the Year promotion! It’s packed with some heavy-hitting Ultimate Team cards like Mohammed Salah, Rodri, and William Saliba. And

In addition to the fresh promotion, the most recent FC 25 update received high praise, being hailed as “the finest patch ever” in FIFA history, since it finally tackled numerous issues that the gaming community had been asking for a long time.

The general opinion about the game’s current status is extremely favorable. However, Electronic Arts (EA) may not have won over many fans with their recent introduction of an objective that goes against a deeply rooted custom.

TOTY Cup falls short of expectations

In the Ultimate Team, Friendly Matches serve as a less competitive alternative to modes like Division Rivals and Champions. Here, you can challenge either your real-life friends or random online opponents in a more relaxed environment.

For some time now, within the Football Club (FC) community, it’s become customary, albeit unspoken, for players to exit a Friendlies game once they fall behind initially. This allows all participants to more efficiently accomplish their goals.

In friendly games, wins and losses for your team and individual player statistics aren’t taken into account, allowing you the freedom to lend a helping hand without any negative consequences.

In the TOTY Cup, a goal-scoring objective demands that players net two goals in eight distinct matches. Players suspect this rule was purposely imposed as a means of enforcing an unwritten rule.

One player replied, ‘At 1 o’clock, everyone is leaving, making the entire task insurmountable.’

“That’s totally bullshi*,” a second commenter added.

As a gamer, I’ve heard some folks propose an interesting twist: we all score an own goal to start things off, then play a golden goal match. However, I reckon the chances of that idea actually working are slim.

It’s good to note that the goal is entirely up to personal preference, yet players seem displeased with the developers imposing restrictions on their approach to the game mode.
