Electronic Arts has revealed that the upcoming F1 25 game will feature the 2025 and 2026 Formula One seasons. This is part of a larger effort to completely remake the game for its 2027 release.
Rather than launching a completely new F1 26 game, the developers will release a paid expansion that adds the significant rule changes coming to the sport in 2026 to the existing game. A fully redesigned F1 game will then be released in 2027, marking a fresh start for the series.
In 2026, a major update will be released featuring the latest car regulations, current teams, and updated driver rosters. EA explains this is the first step in a several-year plan culminating in a completely new game in 2027. The new game aims to deliver a significantly different experience with more options for players.
