EA Announces $12 Veteran’s Day Pack For Battlefield 6, But Proceeds Won’t Be Donated

To mark Veterans Day, EA released a $12 ‘Lead The Way’ DLC for Battlefield 6 and Redsec, created with help from the National Ranger Association. However, players quickly noticed a disclaimer stating that none of the money from DLC sales will be donated to charity.

This downloadable content (DLC) pack is called “Rangers Lead The Way” and was developed with the National Ranger Association to make sure it feels realistic. It includes a NATO Assault Soldier skin, a special Glider 96 vehicle skin, new weapons, customization options, plus an XP boost and a battle pass tier skip.

Players assumed money from the special bundle would benefit the charity it was created with, but EA has clarified that no sales revenue will be donated. Instead of giving a portion of the profits, EA made a separate donation to the National Ranger Association.

After a comment on their Instagram post about the bundle, the National Ranger Association shared that EA made a very generous donation and is planning to contribute more. However, neither the Association nor EA has revealed the exact amount of the donation or how it relates to potential bundle sales. Separately, EA announced it will be the main sponsor of this year’s Best Ranger Competition.

As a fan, I always noticed how Call of Duty really led the way with their Veteran’s Day fundraising. They have these special packs you can buy, and what’s awesome is that 100% of the money goes to the Call of Duty Endowment, a charity created by Bobby Kotick that helps veterans here in the US and over in the UK. It always felt like the benchmark for how games should support our veterans.

The ‘Lead the Way’ pack will be available for both Battlefield 6 and the Redsec battle royale game on November 11th – Veteran’s Day – and will cost $12.
