A fresh, darkly humorous movie titled “Up in the Hills” is currently being developed. The cast includes Dylan Walsh, known for his role in “Nip/Tuck”, Paris Berelc from Netflix’s “Alexa & Katie”, Ali Cobrin from “The Baxters”, and Cottrell Guidry, who appeared in “Prince of Detroit.
“Up in the Hills” is written and directed by Jacob Steinberg.
The satire revolves around a chaotic Hollywood gathering at a dinner party. Walsh portrays the role of movie producer Saul Aushburn, while Cobrin takes on his spouse. Guidry is cast as Dante Crawford, an actor, and Berelc plays an aspiring, eager-to-succeed producer.
Production wrapped in October in New Jersey.
Donna McKenna, fresh from her work on “Beyond the Rush,” has assembled the movie’s cast. The ensemble also includes Delaney Williams, Bobby James Evers, Regina Schneider, Anne Son, Chris Blunt, and Michael Emery.
The film “Up in the Hills” is executive-produced by Brett Gursky, who has previously worked on “The American Meme”. Steinberg, on the other hand, is the producer for this project under his production company, Pontella Pictures.
2023 saw Steinberg, an independent filmmaker, debut his first full-length production titled “Senior.” This comedy focuses on a college student’s final day at university. The movie garnered significant recognition, winning the Best Feature category at the Japan International Film Festival, Best Feature Film at the Munich New Wave Film Festival, and receiving the award for Best Actor at the Roma Film Festival.
