‘Dying for Sex’ Sets April Release Date at Hulu

The FX limited series “Dying for Sex” has set its premiere date at Hulu.

Beginning April 4, both U.S. viewers (on Hulu) and international audiences (on Disney+) will get to watch all eight episodes of this series. The project was initially announced as under development at FX back in 2023. It’s based on the popular Wondery podcast with the same title, drawing inspiration from the true tale of Molly Kochan and her close companion, Nikki Boyer.

According to the movie’s tagline, “Once diagnosed with Stage IV metastatic breast cancer, Molly (Michelle Williams) chooses to break free from her husband Steve (Jay Duplass), embarking on a journey of self-discovery and embracing her sexual desires for the first time in her life. Brace yourself, as Molly has many things she wants to achieve with the time she has left. There’s no room for shock or criticism; Molly doesn’t care about your opinion regarding her plans (by the way, this phrase often elicits an eye roll). Inspired by her loyal friend Nikki (Jenny Slate), a woman whose love and support will make you want to reach out to that trusted companion.

Apart from the main characters, you’ll find Rob Delaney, Kelvin Yu, David Rasche, Esco Jouléy, and Sissy Spacek as part of the ensemble cast in this series.
