Dwayne Johnson’s Jumanji 3 Gets Best Report From Set

Good news for fans of Jumanji! The upcoming third film in the recent series is expected to wrap up the story that began with ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ in 2017 and continued with ‘The Next Level.’ This new movie will also be the last of the five Jumanji films made overall, following the original starring Robin Williams from 1995.

Jumanji 3 with Dwayne Johnson has wrapped filming

Dwayne Johnson announced on Instagram that filming for Jumanji 3 has wrapped. He posted a series of photos, including one with his co-stars Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, and Jack Black, as well as behind-the-scenes shots from the movie. In a heartfelt message, Johnson shared how much he enjoyed working on the film.

Just finished working on Jumanji, and it was one of the most enjoyable and creatively fulfilling experiences of my career! I feel lucky to have witnessed such a talented cast bring so much comedy, heart, and energy to this project over the last ten years.

Dwayne Johnson, who played Black Adam, also spoke highly of the film’s director, Jake Kasdan, calling it a privilege to work with him. He then dedicated the movie to the late Robin Williams, explaining that it was made in his honor. Johnson shared that playing Dr. Smolder Bravestone was a particular joy and a tribute to Williams, done with deep respect and love.

Jumanji 3 will be released in theaters on Christmas Day, December 25, 2026. The release date was moved from December 11th to avoid competing with the premieres of Avengers: Doomsday and Dune: Part Three, which both come out on December 18th.

Jake Kasdan directed the film, based on a screenplay he co-wrote with Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg. He also shared producing credits with Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia, and Matt Tolmach.
