Look, everyone knows Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson – movie star, wrestling icon, the whole package. But what he really emphasizes, especially on social media, is that he’s a dad first. He’d do anything for his daughters, which is awesome. And like any dad, he gets pranked! I mean, he’s The Rock, you’d think he’d be immune, but his kids are clever. Honestly, I didn’t see this latest one coming – it involves Will Ferrell…in his bathroom. It’s a pretty genius trick, I have to admit.
Will Ferrell, the actor from Anchorman, wasn’t physically in Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s bathroom, but his likeness was! Johnson shared a funny video on Instagram showing how his daughters had set up a cardboard cutout of Ferrell to playfully scare him on Halloween.

I wouldn’t exactly call Buddy the Elf from the movie Elf “evil,” but choosing him for this cutout is definitely odd. It makes you wonder why they picked him – someone like Beetlejuice or Ghostface might have fit the theme better. Still, given the situation, Buddy can be a little unsettling. I’d definitely be startled to see him in my shower at 2 a.m.!
The actor from Jumanji seems to be playfully teasing Will Ferrell, but it sounds like his daughters, Jasmine and Tiana Johnson, really tricked him! You’d expect a WWE legend, especially someone who recently played UFC fighter Mark Kerr in The Smashing Machine, to be hard to scare. He’s a tough guy, whether he’s wrestling or not.
Despite his tough exterior, he’s a real softie when it comes to his daughters, happily joining them for tea parties and movies like Lilo and Stitch. Still, if I were his kids, I’d always be a little wary – you never know when he might retaliate with a prank!
I’m not quite sure why Will Ferrell was selected for this, but I really hope he sees it. I’d love to know what the Talladega Nights actor thinks! It seems like the Johnson sisters are kicking off the holiday season after Halloween, but honestly, I suspect they’re always up to something, regardless of the time of year. I have a feeling Buddy the Elf would definitely enjoy it, though.
Their father starred in the popular recent Christmas movie, Red One, so the holidays are likely a big celebration for their family. Now that Will Ferrell and Dwayne Johnson have worked together, it would be great to see them make a sequel to Red One!
