Drama Unleashed: Single’s Inferno Season 4’s Controversial Swing Showdown!

It’s surprising how a simple swing could lead to such a stir of events! After Chung You-jin’s time in the Inferno yard, the latest episodes of Single’s Inferno Season 4 depict Lee Si-an on the swings, but the response is noticeably distinct.

As a passionate viewer, I must admit that the current chapter of the Netflix dating show is shaping up to be its most dramatic yet, and we’re barely halfway through! The Single’s Inferno Season 4 cast seems to have more love triangles than one hand can count. It’s getting quite intense!

In the opening chapter, You-jin generated quite a buzz when she partook in some beverages near the campfire and subsequently used the island’s swing. While some spectators concurred with the hosts that her actions were attention-seeking, others urged everyone to relax; they believed she was simply enjoying herself.

Regardless of your stance, don’t miss the newly released episodes of Singles’s Inferno Season 4, now available for streaming (as of January 21).

Single’s Inferno Season 4 sparks debate over swing scenes

In Episode 6, following Yuk Jun-seo’s confession to Si-an, she takes a swing on the island. This scene starkly contrasts with You-jin’s moment, leading to a divide among the viewers about its portrayal.

It turned out that when You-jin used the swing, it ignited a discussion since several people believed she was unfairly treated by the editors. Instead of capturing a complete view of her on the swing, the cameras only displayed her head briefly as it moved through the air.

The hosts suggested she shouldn’t engage in that behavior during the night as they found it a bit unsettling, and there was an underlying implication that she may have consumed excess alcohol.

In a similar vein, Si-an declares she’s “extremely intoxicated” and subsequently departs from her co-competitors to enjoy the swing, and it’s also nighttime. However, this time the camera captures her fully, and there are no inquiries about her behavior.

In the scene, the other actors chuckle at You-jin while distancing themselves from her, yet they remain unfazed by Si-an. Surprisingly, the novice, An Jong-hoon, approaches and interacts with You-jin instead.

Viewers of Single’s Inferno have noticed a discrepancy in the treatment by the producers regarding the “swing scenes” between characters Si-an and You-jin, as one user pointed out on Reddit.

It doesn’t bother me that they were drunk and enjoying themselves on the swings; in fact, it seemed quite lively. However, the portrayal of You-jin swinging and conversing with herself was noticeably distinct from the depiction of Si-an.

One person concurred, “Yes, I’ve observed the inconsistency as well. In one case, You-jin appeared to be portrayed as crazy due to an unflattering angle, while Si-an was filmed comprehensively, capturing her entire swing within the frame. Both girls were drunk, yet it seemed the camera unfairly treated You-jin.

Yes, that’s right. I don’t understand why they portrayed Yoo-jin’s swing scene with a bobbing head rather than following the same approach as Si-ah’s swing scene,” commented a third person.

It seems not everyone shares this viewpoint. One individual expressed, “It appears the cameras were installed following You-jin’s appearance.

I’ve got to say, I’ve never seen that camera angle before! Maybe they decided to set up a camera there based on their observations? Definitely looks like it was the following day.

Another person penned, “One individual was chuckling loudly and seemed to be on the verge of shouting, giving an impression of insanity, yet no one reacted or moved closer to her. The other simply sat on a swing, murmuring softly to herself before being approached by a newcomer.

There are two distinct situations here, and I want to clarify that I hold no bias towards Si-an or You-jin. It seems to me we might not be on the same page regarding fairness, but I understand your perspective.

A third person chimed in, “It’s interesting to note that many criticize the situation as unjust towards You-jin, claiming she was mistreated by the editing process. However, it seems she displayed behavior that was off-putting to the gentlemen who showed interest in her.

Her boisterous laughter at Yun-seo receiving four coins seemed odd, followed by her becoming a boisterous and awkwardly intoxicated woman who didn’t seem to fit in, it would have been better if she had read the atmosphere.
