PM Studios and TeamSuneat have announced that Dragon is Dead is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on April 23rd. This action RPG, which combines sidescrolling gameplay with roguelike elements, first became available on Steam in June 2025 after a year in Early Access.
Physical versions of the game will be handled by PM Studios, set to launch on July 14.

TeamSuneat and PM Studios announced today that Dragon is Dead, their dark fantasy action game, will be available digitally on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch starting April 23, 2026. A physical version, called the Guernian Edition, will be released in North America on July 14, 2026, and distributed by PM Studios.
Dragon is Dead is a popular dark fantasy action game known for its fast-paced combat and diverse character classes. Players can choose from classes like the Spellblade, who uses elemental magic, the powerful Berserker, and the long-range Hunter. The game allows for deep customization with skill trees and rune slots, and players can find powerful Legendary and Mythic items while fighting through constantly changing, corrupted environments.
Okay, so I picked up the physical edition of this game, and it’s really diving deep into the story of Guernian, this fallen dragon. Apparently, when he went down, his death caused this spreading Corruption that’s messed up the whole world. My mission is to fight my way to this place called the Citadel, right in the middle of the chaos, and figure out what’s going on with this ‘Black Dawn’ and what they’re doing with all the Corruption. The cool thing about the physical copy is it gives you a ton more backstory and details, which makes the whole experience way more immersive as you try to uncover the truth.
The physical Guernian Edition for Dragon is Dead will include:
- A physical disc/cartridge of Dragon is Dead
- A special sleeve
- Character cards highlighted in-game fan favorites
- A ‘Lore of Gernian’ letter, giving fans a deeper look into the lore of Dragon is Dead
