Each episode delves deeper into the personal stories, inspirations, and aspirations of these kings, exploring their unique journeys in the world of drag.

Christopher J. Rodriguez, co-founder and head of content at Revry, stated that ‘King of Drag’ is one of our most daring original productions yet. We aim to challenge the traditional drag competition model and offer viewers something unique and never seen before.

He expressed his delight by saying, “We’re thrilled to have Murray Hill hosting the series, bringing a fresh perspective on drag to viewers worldwide. His humor, intelligence, and background make him an ideal fit for a show that spotlights a dedicated group in the LGBTQ+ community who are forging their own paths and creating new opportunities within the entertainment industry.

As a cinephile, I can’t help but acknowledge the impressive filmography of Michael Showalter. From “Drag Me to Dinner,” “Life & Beth,” and the latest comedy sensation, “Jackpot” directed by Paul Feig featuring John Cena and Awkwafina, his work has been a delight for movie enthusiasts like myself. In 2025, I eagerly anticipate reading his memoir, “Showbiz! My Life as a Middle-Aged Man,” to delve deeper into the mind of this talented storyteller.
