Larian Studios has launched Divinity: Original Sin II on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch, and current owners of the game on other platforms will receive a free upgrade.
Divinity: Original Sin II is available on Nintendo Switch 2, but if you already have the original Switch version, you’ll need to purchase an upgrade. PlayStation 4 owners will receive a free upgrade to the PS5 version through the PlayStation Store. What is Divinity: Original Sin 2 about?
The Gods are gone, and you’re a magic user imprisoned in Fort Joy. The ruling Divine Order claims they want to rid you of your powers, but they’re hiding dangerous secrets that could destroy everything. With the Gods absent, the world is descending into chaos, and it’s up to you to navigate the dangers and uncover the truth.
What races can I play?
You can play as one of five different races: Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Lizards, and the Undead. Each race has unique abilities and characteristics.
Does Divinity: Original Sin 2 use the same character creation and combat system as Baldur’s Gate 3?
DOS:2 features a unique character system that doesn’t rely on traditional classes. You have complete freedom to build your character exactly how you want, defining their stats, skills, and abilities to create a truly custom class. If you prefer, you can also select a pre-made class to get started quickly!
I already own DOS:2 on Switch, PS4, or Xbox One. How do I upgrade?
To get the upgrade for Divinity: Original Sin 2, visit the game store on your platform and search for the “DOS:2 Upgrade Pack.” It’s a free download! If you’re in Japan and want to upgrade from Nintendo Switch to Nintendo Switch 2, or from PS4 to PS5, it will cost ¥100.
