AdHock Studio, the developers of Dispatch, have noticed fans repeatedly asking about a second season. In an interview with Eurogamer, they described this ongoing question – “Will there be a season 2?” – as a new challenge.
Nick Herman, co-founder and game director at AdHoc, shared that they are just a few days away from finally being able to dedicate time to planning future updates. They’ve been focused on supporting the game and haven’t had a chance to thoroughly map out what’s next.
This doesn’t guarantee a second season, but it suggests the studio is giving it serious thought and will probably discuss future plans for the show soon.
Pierre Shorette, the co-founder, added that they are taking the possibility of a second season very seriously, though they anticipate it will be more difficult to create than the first.
We didn’t have any outside expectations for the first season—we just wanted people to watch and have fun without overthinking things. If we make a second season, we know it will be much more difficult to meet those expectations.
Whether or not the show continues, fans can expect to hear an announcement soon. The creators will likely share the news with their eager audience, who are desperate to find out what happens next with the characters. We should know for sure in the near future.
