AdHoc Studio’s superhero comedy game, Dispatch, launched late last month and quickly became a hit, selling over a million copies in just ten days. Players are loving it, and according to AdHoc Studio co-founder Pierre Shorette, the game’s story might not end with this week’s final episode – there could be more to come.
During an appearance on The Friends Per Second podcast (as reported by Eurogamer), Shorette and his co-founder, Nick Herman, were asked about the upcoming season of Dispatch.
Shorette mentioned they’re now considering a second season. Just three weeks ago, it wasn’t clear if it would happen, so it’s a welcome challenge to be discussing it now.
Shorette confirmed that AdHoc is currently developing a video game with Critical Role, taking place in the world of Exandria. According to Travis Willingham of Critical Role, the game will tell an original story, though characters from past campaigns like Vox Machina, Mighty Nein, and Bells Hells might make appearances.
Okay, so the last two episodes of Dispatch Season 1 are dropping on November 12th, which is awesome! Last week, the game hit a peak of over 131,000 players on Steam, which was insane. I’m hoping the finale will push us even further and break that record!
