Dispatch Episode 8 walkthrough and choices guide

Even though many players are still working through Episode 7 of Dispatch, some have already reached the end. Now, you’re about to experience the story’s conclusion. Was the journey worthwhile? Let’s see!

Dispatch Episode 8 walkthrough and choices

Dispatch phase 1

This time we start at our office. When Blonde Blazer wants to fight with criminals we can say:

  1. Go.
  2. Just come back.
  3. Stay.

It will not influence your relationship. Now, let’s start the shift.

This time, you’ll begin with just three heroes: Golem, Prism, and Punch Up. If you didn’t remove Invisigal from your team, she’ll have reduced stats, similar to being injured – but this won’t affect Golem. Removing her will ensure your team functions at full strength.

Okay, so after my first mission, I figured out I need to watch this bar in the corner – it goes down every time I mess up. But hey, it’s not all bad! Once it hits half, Blonde Blazer shows up, and let me tell you, she’s a total powerhouse. She really turns the tide!

  1. Capture Experiment 1067 – Mostly Vigor, but Mobility and Combat are also useful.
  2. Return to Crypto Night – Combat and Vigor test.
  3. Evacuation order – Mostly Charisma test with a little bit of Intellect.
  4. Bomb threat – Intellect and Vigor.

Now, you’ll need to find the team member who needs help. This part is really frustrating. You have to go to the right, open a shortcut, and trick the security system onto that new path… then quickly close it off while it’s there. After that, you need to complete a long puzzle to activate the power node. Run away from the security system and use the electricity to stun it when you get there. Only then can you move on to the frequency matching section. I really dislike this minigame, but completing it will unlock:

  1. Rescue Flambae – Vigor and Mobility test.
  2. Help Brainbook – Intellect.

Around this point Malevola will join the team.

  1. Shopping Spree – Vigor, Mobility and Combat (in this order of importance)

Okay, so now I get to choose who to hack – Sonar and Coup, or Phenomaman and Waterboy. It seems like I can unlock the other team later, so I should pick whoever I think will be more helpful to me right now. It’s a tough choice!

The initial stages of gaining access to a system can sometimes be done without disabling antivirus software. However, completing the process requires turning it off and isolating it on a separate system.

  1. Rescue Waterboy / Phenomaman – Mobility.
  2. Sewer Bomb – Intellect and Vigor.
  3. Help Sweetalker – Sonar and Coupe have unique dialog options here. So, if you picked them first, you might use them here. Otherwise, you need to pass Charisma check (8).
  4. Rescue Coupe / Sonar – Mobility and Vigor.

Dispatch phase 2

Now that the first phase of Dispatch is complete, you’ll begin the second phase by hiring either Waterboy or Phenomaman – whichever one you didn’t choose before.

  1. The Summoning – high test on Mobility, Vigor and Combat
  2. Escape Artist – Vigor and Mobility test.
  3. Boom! – Vigor and Mobility test.
  4. Witch hunt – Phenomaman has a special option here, you can also make checks on Charisma and Intellect (5).
  5. Return of the Kaiju – Vigor or Attack check (10).
  6. Lockdown – hacking.

Dispatch phase 3

You’ll be facing more ground to cover and will be challenged by enemies you’ve defeated before. Focus on attacking them when the opportunity arises, as they each have their own health.

  1. Attack Sonar / Coupe – this option is a regular one and is always the same – it tests all stats but the range is wider, and there will be dead zones that you can’t reach. You can do it from time to time. However, it is possible to defeat Sonar / Coupe before completing all dispatches. You will just stop and progress the story.
  2. The Torrance Terrors – Rather weak (half) Combat, Vigor, Mobility and Intellect test.
  3. Sewer Bomb – Intellect.
  4. Roadblock – Max Combat and Vigor test with a little bit of Mobility and Intellect.
  5. Help Pom Pom – Mobility and Vigor test.
  6. Coffee run – You can send almost anyone. Very small Intellect and Mobility test.
  7. Eastside Gang – Half of Combat and Vigor test, with portion of Intellect and Mobility.
  8. Help Brickhouse – High Vigor and Mobility test.
  9. Housing Crisis – Vigor and in small part Mobility test.
  10. Defeat Mister Fister – watch out for the dead zone at Combat. Copmbat and Vigor test, with some Mobile.
  11. Defeat SmileMore – Watch out for Charisma dead zone. Everything is useful here, Charisma and Vigor the most.
  12. Neighborhood Watch – You can pick the check – Combat, Mobility or Intellect (8).

Dispatch phase 4

This Dispatch round is exhausting, isn’t it? Instead of heading home, your team will be resting outdoors tonight.

  1. Attack Sonar / Coupe.
  2. Atomic Automatons – Combat, Vigor and Mobility test.
  3. We meet again – high Combat, Vigor and Mobility test.
  4. Entrapment – Send Waterboy or Flambae or be ready for Intellect check.
  5. Bridge Rescue – Vigor and Mobility test.
  6. Pursue Red Ring – Probably Mobility – that’s when I have learned that you don’t have to complete all missions. It will be updated in the future. Sorry.

Attack on the office

At last, end of the Dispatch phase.

Royd vs Invisigal

  1. Stop kicking him.
  2. What is going on?
  3. Let go of her!

This decision does not matter.

Who to call for help?

  1. Call Blonde Blazer.
  2. We need the Z team.
  3. Fire up my suit.

You can pick whatever you want.

Conversation with Invisigal.

  1. Why didn’t you tell me?
  2. You heard Royd.
  3. I can’t trust you.

This decision does not matter.

Should you free Invisigal? Go alone or untie her

  1. Go it alone.
  2. Untie her.

It’s best to untie her; she’ll escape on her own eventually. Leaving her tied up will negatively impact your relationship, though. Each choice leads to a slightly different scene, and untying her unlocks an extra dialogue option. Ultimately, I recommend freeing her to achieve the best possible outcome with her character.

  1. No way.
  2. You do it.
  3. Yeah, alright.

This decision will not impact your relationship.

Battle

  1. I shoulda dropped you.
  2. Come and claim it.
  3. Where’s Shroud?

It does not impact anything.

When you speak to Shroud you can:

  1. Can we skip this part?
  2. Predict me beating your ass.
  3. Hard to do when you’re dead.

It will not change the outcome.

Although you can make choices during combat, like which attacks to use, they don’t actually affect the outcome. These choices are mostly for show, making the experience feel more engaging like watching an interactive movie.

You will fight a different cut team member but the dialog is the same:

  1. It wasn’t personal.
  2. Looks like I was right.
  3. I’m sorry.

Coupe or Sonar will remember it but they will attack you anyway.

Dispatch Ending

At this point Shroud will kidnap your dog.

  1. Please don’t do this.
  2. Hurt Him and you die.
  3. I’ll do whatever you want.

This dialog will not change anything.

Astral Pulse decision:

  1. Give him the Astral Pulse – he will use it, but will be stopped by Invisigal (if she is not friendly enough with you) or he will shoot you and Invisigal will shield you. You will be able to decide to kill shroud or not.
  2. Give him both – he will pick the bad one and will start to vomit. From this point the story will go as above.
  3. Give him the prototype – he will know that it is a false one and you will have to give him the original. And the story will follow the path presented in the first point.

Shroud will remember this decision.

Kill Shroud or not

If you kill Shroud, you’ll have a brief follow-up conversation with Blonde Blazer, where she’ll check on how you’re doing and mention an investigation will take place – though she doesn’t seem overly concerned. The event will also be brought up during a TV interview.

Invisigal

Depending on your relationship with Invisigal, your fate will differ. If you’re enemies, she’ll kill Shroud and abandon you. But if you’re allies, she’ll save you from harm and be hailed as a hero.

Epilogue

Invisigal

If she is still in the team, you start the prologue from conversation with her.

  1. Thanks, I guess?
  2. Want me to wait with you?
  3. You did it.

Okay, so whatever decision you make here won’t affect how much anyone likes you. But, if you’re dating Invisigal, get ready for a kiss after this – she’ll give you one if you’ve romanced her!

Royd

  1. You’re amazing.
  2. Couldn’t do it without you.
  3. You should be a hero.

Pick what you want.

Fate of Coupe / Sonar

You can forgive them – the team will be happy.

Forget – Coupe / Sonar will go to jail and the team will be sad.

In both cases, they will remember it.

Blond Blazer

The conversation will go differently depending on your choices:

If Invisigal disappeared:

  1. Come after me.
  2. I just hope she’s okay
  3. Take over the Red Ring.

Blonde Blazer will remember that.

If Invisigal did not disappear

If you killed shroud she will ask how you feel and tell you that you are suspended.

  1. Nope.
  2. It felt great.
  3. I dunno.

She will remember it.

If you kissed Invisigal, she will mention it.

Next, you will talk about the team:

  1. They deserve to celebrate.
  2. We’re just getting started.
  3. I had plenty of help.

Blonde Blazer romance: After conversation you will kiss.
