Dispatch Episode 5 walkthrough and choices guide

Dispatch offers a unique look at the world of superheroes and villains, focusing on the gritty reality behind the scenes. You’ll face challenges and have to work hard to succeed, starting with the loss of your initial abilities. The story is central to the game, and tough choices – like deciding who to prioritize – will be common. These decisions are closely tied to investigations, as you play the role of a dispatcher. Some cases, such as figuring out which game hides the bomb, are particularly difficult. The ‘Brainteaser’ character also presents a real challenge, so let’s explore how to answer his questions.

Even if you make 1 mistake, you will face only an easy Intelligence test (1).

Episode 5 walkthrough and choices

Story phase 1

The game begins with a short scene showing Robert recalling his previous battle with Flambae, and immediately presents the player with their first decision.

  1. Thanks for babysitting me.
  2. I’m no Normie.
  3. Heroes get hurt.

It seems like this choice won’t matter, though. However, thanks for babysitting me is hilarious.

Okay, so after we finish talking, I’ll run into Blond Blazer again – but only if I actually went on a date with her before. If I did, she’s going to ask me out again!

  1. Blonde Blazer.
  2. Either Works.
  3. Mandy.

She won’t forget what she decided. Although we don’t know exactly how it will affect things, her date will likely be a little different because of it.

1st Dispatch phase

  1. Talent of Torrance – It is a test, mostly Charisma, but a slight touch of Vigor is also recommended.
  2. Rescue Transit Workers – send Golem or Punch Up. They have special options. Otherwise you will have to pass Intellect or Mobility test (9).
  3. Talent of Torrance Throwdown – Test with Charisma as the main stat with a little bit of Vigor.
  4. Aliens among us – Phenomaman will solve it automatically. If you don’t have him, you will need to pass Intellect or Charisma check (5)
  5. Hero Training.
  6. Stalker Stalking Film Shoot – you can hack it.
  7. Anti-Bullying Seminar – a test with 8 Charisma, 3 Mobility, 4 Intellect / Vigor and 2 Combat.
  8. Your Big Break, Kid – Main stat is Charisma with a touch of Intellect and Mobility.

  1. Sewage Spill (entire team will get XP but higher injury risk) / Sawage Clog – Pick Sewage Spill, it is a test of Intellect, Mobility and Vigor. Not a difficult one, though.
  2. Performance Art – It is a fairy balanced test of Charisma, Intellect and in smaller part Combat and Vigor.
  3. Refinery Explosion – It is the first time the game punishes us for too high stats. You need to pick your team not to have too big Combat, as it will automatically fail the investigation. It means that it will be difficult to send 2 heroes. You need to plan accordingly. It is a difficult test of Vigor, Combat and Mobility (max) and in a smaller part Intellect.

Story phase 2

We’re moving onto the next part of the story. Prisma and Malevola will ask who you are. You can choose to keep your identity a secret, offer a clue, or even tell a lie. Just know that they’ll remember what you tell them.

  1. I was blue.
  2. No hints.
  3. I’m double jointed.

Next, Chase will ask you about killing Shroud. He will remember the answer.

  1. Yes.
  2. I’m not sure.
  3. Heroes don’t kill people.

2st Dispatch phase

  1. Lost Pet – Test of mainly Mobility with a little bit of Intellect and Charisma. Quite easy.

The power has gone out. To restore it to the city, you’ll need to complete a series of three hacking challenges. These involve finding and powering up electrical nodes, and finally, eliminating viruses using electricity in the last challenge.

There doesn’t appear to be a time limit, so my advice is to pause between each section or mini-game to give the team a chance to rest. Each area of the city opens up new investigations, and we should explore them from left to right.

The left part of the town

  1. Power Outage Looting – Test of Combat, Vigor and Mobility.
  2. Missing Teens – They are on the Beach. But the wrong answer will not punish you. Take Malevola with you. She will complete the task automatically. Otherwise you will have to pass Charisma or Intellect test (5).
  3. Multi-Car Pile-Up – Mainly Vigor and Mobility test (with small dose of Intellect).
  4. The Wheelies – Test of Mobility and Intellect.

The middle part of the town

  1. Evacuation Assistance – An easy test of Intellect, Charisma and Mobility.
  2. Thwart Graffiti Vandals – Mobility test (easy).
  3. Stabilize Experiment – Watch out, as again, you can’t have too much Combat. Test of Intellect, Vigor and Mobility – very difficult.
  4. Training.
  5. Vandlabs robbery – You can pass the test automatically with Sonar, Coupe or Penomaman. Otherwise there is a test Intellect / Fight or Vigor test (10).

The right part of the town

  1. Air Team Rescue – you can send only flying heroes to that one. So, Flambae and Phenomaman (if you have him). It is a difficult test of Vigor (8), Mobility (10) and a Intellect (3). That’s why, it’s better to pick…
  2. Ground Team Rescue – send Malevola, she will have a special option to solve it.
  3. Repairs Required – Watch out for the Combat restriction. Intellect, Vigor and Mobility check.
  4. Senior Home Check-Up – Intellect, Charisma and Mobility check.
  5. Super Tantrum – Mainly Vigor and Charisma, but Intellect and a little bit of Mobility will be also useful.
  6. Shipment Robbery – Max Combat and Vigor check, with some Intellect and Mobility, too.

Story phase 3 – the most important part

It’s time for a little bit of fun and bonding. This choice does not have an impact.

  1. I am a narc.
  2. Been doing this long?
  3. You’re buying next.

Everyone will remember your next statement:

  1. Relax, I’m leaving.
  2. Let me buy you a drink.
  3. Since you twisted my arm…

But the outcome will be the same.

Who are you – really

  1. I’m Robert.
  2. I’m Mecha Man.

What happens in the long run is still uncertain. But be warned: if you claim to be Mecha Man, Flambae will attempt to kill you. Luckily, the team will protect you. Unfortunately, one team member won’t be around for the next mission in the upcoming episode. However, the rest of the team will grow closer. At the start of the next chapter, everyone will watch as you put your armor through a test.

If you don’t speak up, the team will continue to work well together and the Flambae will remain. But at the beginning, when everyone gets their armor, only Invisigal will be present.

Of course, the whole team will remember the choice.
