Telltale Games, the studio behind popular story-based games like The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us, experienced a difficult shutdown but was later brought back. While they announced a sequel to The Wolf Among Us, updates have been scarce following some staff reductions. For fans who loved the classic Telltale experience, some former team members formed AdHoc Studio and created Dispatch, an episodic game that began releasing on October 22, 2025. The first two episodes are available now, and we’re waiting to find out when the next installments will be released.
Dispatch Episodes 1–8 release dates
Dispatch consists of 8 episodes, released one per week, creating a viewing experience similar to a TV series. Here’s the release schedule:
- Episode 1 (Pivot) and 2 (Onboard) – October 22
- Episode 3 (Turnover) and 4 (Restructure) – October 29
- Episode 5 (Team Building) and 6 (Moving Parts) – November 5
- Episode 7 (Retrospective) and 8 (Synergy) – November 12

Most players enjoy Dispatch, but some are frustrated by the way the game is released in episodes. The developers at AdHoc Studio made this choice deliberately, as they have experience with this release style from their time working at Telltale Games.
The developers aimed to create a game with the same engaging feeling as a TV series, where each installment adds to the ongoing story and keeps players hooked, sparking conversations within the community. That’s already happening – fans are even discussing and speculating about who is voicing the characters Phenomaman and Sonar.
This structure keeps the story flowing and helps players stay hooked from the start. Importantly, the development team completed all story episodes before the game released, ensuring players don’t have to wait for new content.
