Dispatch Episode 1 walkthrough and choices guide

As Dispatch comes to an end and Season 2 is still a ways off and not confirmed, now’s a great time to revisit the story or experience it for the first time. We’ve created a guide that covers the entire story and all the choices, just like we did with Episodes 5 and 6. Get comfortable, grab some snacks, and let’s dive in!

Dispatch Episode 1 walkthrough and choices

Mecha Man

The game starts with a conversation with a “Soothing voice”. You can pick

  1. I love my dad.
  2. Didn’t know him well.
  3. He’s gone.

This answer does not matter, though.

It’s time for the first meaningful choice of the game.

  1. Let him drop
  2. Pull him back

This change will have a minor effect on how things work, but it’s not significant. Feel free to choose the option that best suits your needs.

Let’s begin the first hacking challenge! These puzzles will get harder as you progress. Simply enter the correct keys to unlock new areas and retrieve information.

  1. It’s over, Shroud.
  2. Prepare to die.
  3. I’m here to f*** you up.

This choice does not matter.

This is then followed by a second choice that doesn’t actually change anything, aside from what you see happen on screen.

  1. Punt
  2. Stomp

Now, it’s time for a fighting scene with Toxic that will lead to another choice

  1. IGNORE HIM.
  2. Bullsh*t.
  3. You’re bluffing.

No matter what you do, the outcome will be the same.

After the incident

We skip some time and are taken to the press conference. There are some questions to answer.

Do you have anything to say to your fans?

  1. I did my best.
  2. Thank you.
  3. It was all for you.

Does this mean you’re retiring as Mecha Man?

  1. No comment
  2. Pretty much
  3. Not yet

Both of these decisions do not matter.

How disappointed would your dad be if he were here right now?

  1. Answer
  2. Leave
  3. Attack

This choice will have lasting consequences and likely affect how people see you. Consider ‘staying’ as a good outcome and ‘leaving’ as a bad one when evaluating your options.

A group of criminals is stealing TV.

  1. That’s pretty disrespectful.
  2. Put it down and leave.
  3. I was watching that.

And later

  1. I’m Mecha Man.
  2. Someone with nothing to lose.
  3. Honestly, not sure anymore.

Finally

  1. Punch with left (it will land a punch)
  2. Punch with right

These actions don’t have lasting effects, but they will change what appears on your screen.

Blonde Blazer and the bar

It’s our first meeting with Blonde Blazer

  1. I’d prefer a professional.
  2. Have you done this before?
  3. I can do it myself.

Picking any of the above does not matter.

We’re led to the bar where we begin talking to Blonde Blazer. Your first response doesn’t affect the story.

  1. Rough day?
  2. That feels like a challenge.
  3. Impressive.

Why did you do it? – this will be remembered

  1. I like helping people.
  2. I don’t know…
  3. Only thing I’m good at.

The first option is clearly the one that will improve your relationship with Blazer.

A proposition?

  1. Sounds intriguing
  2. Hopefully nothing scandalous
  3. A bar proposition?

It does not matter what you pick.

Flambae

You need to choose a nickname. It’s something people will remember and mention in the future, but don’t overthink it – feel free to pick whatever you like.

  1. Mr. Wet Ponytail.
  2. Dr. Don’t Do Sh*t.
  3. Sunglasses at Night Guy.

Now, you’ll make a crucial decision – one that will affect Flambae’s appearance for the rest of the game. It’s a small detail, but it adds a nice touch and is sometimes emphasized.

  1. Water – Flambae will lose a tooth.
  2. Alcohol – his eyebrows will burn off.

Blonde Blazer part 2 and romance

When you talk with Blazer about the bar incident, you can say:

  1. Guy fell down.
  2. Extinguished a situation / Got fired up (depending on the choice earlier)
  3. Made a little mess

The option does not matter, though.

When you sit with Bonde Blazer you can pick one of the below, but this decision does not matter.

  1. Thanks for helping me.
  2. I really needed this.
  3. Sorry about the spit thing.

Next, Blonde Blazer will lean towards you. It will influence your relationship. You can

  1. Kiss her
  2. Let the moment pass

Choosing this option will strengthen your bond with Blonde Blazer and allow you to continue the conversation in the next episode.

Let’s go back to business

  1. This is an interview?
  2. My suit was destroyed.
  3. Not exactly professional.

And it will be followed by:

  1. When do I start?
  2. What if I say no?
  3. Dispatch heroes?

Both options are only to express yourself, they will not have consequences.

Tutorial Dispatch

Let’s start our first Dispatch! We need to choose heroes who match the key skills highlighted in each mission’s description.

  1. Assault on Criminal Hideout – Phenomaman.
  2. Investigate the Dorm Room – Brainbook, as the test is mainly Intellect.
  3. Art Exhibit Opening – you will be able to pick between Charisma / Intellect or Mobility test (3). So pick a character with this stat.
  4. High Speed Chase – It is a test of Combat and Mobility, so the perfect heroes are Phenomaman and Pom Pom.
  5. Attack on the Hospital – It is enough to send one hero on this mission, either Phenomaman / Equilibrium / Brickhouse or Pom Pom. Each of them will unlock a special option to end the quest successfully.
  6. Monster Attack – it is a test that depends mostly on Vigor, so Brickhouse is a good choice.
  7. Help Grandma Cross the Road –mainly Mobility test, Pom Pom is the best choice.
  8. Negotiate with Hostage Takers – a test of Charisma, mostly, but a little bit of Intellect and Vigor is also necessary. Sweetalker is the best choice. Of course, you can send additional superhero.
  9. Chase El Diablito – It is Mobility, Vitality and Combat test, so pick heroes accordingly.

Beef

The last choice of the episode.

  1. Give him Cereal.
  2. Who’s a good boy.
  3. It’s gonna be alright.

There are no consequences of that choice. But we all know what the answer should be.
