Disney Plus will introduce two fresh offerings from the realms of Star Wars and Marvel this September 2025. Following an action-packed first half of the year marked by premieres such as Andor Season 2, Daredevil: Born Again, and Ironheart, Lucasfilm and Marvel Studios are gearing up for an exciting Fall TV season with new projects. However, neither of these series is a live-action venture set within the Star Wars or Marvel universe; instead, they revisit familiar faces such as the Avengers and Obi-Wan Kenobi.
New Marvel and Star Wars Shows Coming to Disney+ in September 2025
LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy: Pieces of the Past – September 19
To kick off this month, we have “LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy: Fragments of History” which will start streaming on Disney+ on Friday, September 19.
The animated LEGO series serves as a continuation of “LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy,” and features the return of characters like Sig Greebling (portrayed by Gaten Matarazzo from Stranger Things), Jedi Bob, Yesi, Servo, and Dev. Together, they form alliances to confront the enigmatic adversary, Solitus. Additional familiar faces such as Darth Maul, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Darth Jar Jar, Ahsoka Tano (voiced by Ashley Eckstein from The Clone Wars) are anticipated to appear in this new installment of the LEGO series.
Marvel Zombies – September 24
Marvel Studios’ debut R-rated animated show doesn’t shy away from graphic content as the Marvel Zombies series vividly portrays both heroic figures and villains reanimated in a gruesome fashion. This series is a follow-up to the What If…? Zombies! episode within Marvel’s What If…? series, where an outbreak of zombie-ism creates a dystopian universe, turning numerous Avengers into powerful zombies.
In the same vein as “What If…?”, the animated series “Marvel Zombies” features several actors from the Marvel Cinematic Universe reprising their roles, such as Simu Liu (Shang-Chi), Florence Pugh (Yelena Belova), Hailee Steinfeld (Kate Bishop), and Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch). Alongside these familiar characters, “Marvel Zombies” will also introduce new faces to the MCU, including Blade.
All the Marvel and Star Wars Titles Coming to Disney+ in 2025
Iron Man and His Awesome Friends
The animated preschool show “Iron Man and His Remarkable Companions” introduces three armored superheroes: Tony Stark (Iron Man), Riri Williams (Ironheart), and Amadeus Cho (Iron Hulk). This trio employs their innovative tech to tackle both minor predicaments and city-saving missions.
The show, titled Iron Man and His Amazing Companions, has started airing episodes on Disney+ and plans to keep it up through September. Marvel enthusiasts can anticipate thrilling character collisions in this series, as popular figures such as Black Panther and Spider-Man are slated to make guest appearances.
Star Wars: Visions Season 3 – October 29
In a straightforward and conversational manner, Starting October 29, the third part of the animated anthology series, “Star Wars: Visions,” will make its debut, presenting nine fresh tales that take place in unique galaxies beyond our own Star Wars universe.
In the third season of “Star Wars: Visions,” multiple international animation studios are given the opportunity to share their unique perspectives on Lucasfilm’s iconic science fiction universe. Notably, some sequels to stories from Season 1 will be featured, such as Kamikaze Douga’s “The Duel: Payback” – a tale that introduces an exciting new type of lightsaber – and Production IG’s “The Ninth Jedi: Child of Hope.
Wonder Man – December
As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that this year’s last live-action Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) TV show will be none other than “Wonder Man,” a hilarious superhero series. The skilled director behind “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” Destin Daniel Cretton, is the one responsible for bringing this series to life. In the series, the talented Yahya Abdul-Mateen II portrays Simon Williams, also known as Wonder Man – a superpowered actor who lands a coveted role in a fictional superhero TV show.
The series features the comeback of Trevor Slattery, the well-known actor within the MCU played by Ben Kingsley, who has previously appeared in “Iron Man 3” and “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
