The crowdfunding campaign for one of Disco Elysium‘s scriptwriters, Argo Tuulik, was triumphantly concluded just in time – amassing more than 100,000 GBP through the GoFundMe platform.
In simple terms, starting around mid-December 2024, an Estonian developer started a fundraising campaign due to a former colleague filing a lawsuit over disputed shares in the Tuulika studio. Essentially, the money raised, approximately 80 thousand pounds, was intended to meet expenses associated with this legal battle, as all his available funds had been exhausted by it already.
The remaining funds are intended for the developer to sustain himself while addressing these issues, and any leftover funds would be used in a legal dispute with his previous employer, specifically the ZA/UM company.
Tuulik, the final screenwriter for Disco Elysium, departed from the studio. He had an extensive conversation with The 41st Precinct channel which ran for more than 15 hours and the second half of this interview was released on January 31.
