Prior to their groundbreaking performance at Madison Square Garden, Brennan Lee Mulligan, the mastermind behind “Dimension 20”, and the valiant cast members (Lou Wilson, Brian Murphy, Siobhan Thompson, Emily Axford, Ally Beardsley, and Zac Oyama) from the Dropout tabletop role-playing game TV series had an engaging chat with EbMaster in a round of “Most Likely To.
Although everyone acknowledged that each of the six players played their part in creating issues, Mulligan confessed that one player stood out as particularly skilled at annoying the game’s mastermind: the dungeon master.
In this context, Mulligan was stating that he specifically chose Thompson as the person who best fits his needs as the DM, and that Thompson had been the only individual to verbally harass him on camera. When asked if she was antagonizing him, Thompson responded affirmatively, clarifying that instead of merely antagonizing him, she was actually bullying him.
Despite Thompson appearing as the most openly antagonistic, Mulligan and the rest of the group concurred that Ally Beardsley has a unique knack for halting meetings: “If someone’s goal is to hinder my work, it could very well be Beardsley,” Mulligan remarked.
Brennan creates stunning universes, and Ally replies, ‘In those worlds, you’ll find Fetty Wap and Fall Out Boy too,'” Wilson explained.
Although Beardsley’s freestyling frequently results in confusion, Mulligan points out that Axford’s digressions often generate intriguing plot advancements, stemming from what might seem as irrelevant details.
Beardsley’s spontaneous ideas usually result in disorder, but Mulligan claims that Axford’s side-tracks can produce fascinating narrative twists, derived even from seemingly insignificant information.
Mulligan expressed excitement about adding more depth to a certain point, saying, ‘I’m really looking forward to elaborating on this!’ He then recalled an idea he regretted not implementing earlier from the first season of ‘The Unsleeping City’, which was the concept of ‘soul laundering’ in the Bethesda Fountain.
As a child, Axford was fond of ‘Scooby-Doo’. This makes him believe that he has a ‘Scooby-Doo’ mindset, constantly questioning and seeking to uncover hidden truths or mysteries.
Mulligan, the one who’s directed all eight main seasons of Dimension 20’s “Dimension 20”, shares that several brave adventurers have shown curiosity about leading their own side quest: “There are numerous individuals in these seats who have shared ideas about what they’d do if given a chance to lead a side quest, and I eagerly anticipate the day when that happens.
