Digitoonz, Citrus Ink Studios Launch DGX, a New VFX, Animation and Gaming Hub in Noida, India

Digitoonz Media & Entertainment and Citrus Ink Studios have debuted DGX, an advanced visual effects studio, located in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

In this partnership, Vikas Kumar, founder and CEO of Digitoonz, and Vrinda Sood, CEO of Citrus Ink Studios, will take charge. Digitoonz will handle the day-to-day operations and supervise the entire production process, while Citrus Ink will focus on strategic decision-making for the brand.

The co-leaders announced that this project aims to merge Digitoonz’s worldwide production proficiency with Citrus’ innovative creativity and technological prowess. This collaboration will offer high-quality visual effects services customized to meet the requirements of international clients. Additionally, it’s worth noting that the partnership intends to capitalize on India’s tax benefits to advantage future collaborators.

Even though details are yet to be revealed, when it officially debuts, DGX is currently involved in multiple active projects and aims to broaden its global influence.

Beyond its visual effects duties, DGX was initially established with a vision to branch out into related fields. This includes the creation of an Animation Academy aimed at nurturing and educating future artists. Moving beyond being merely a service studio, DGX also plans to generate original intellectual properties for global audiences and delve into game design to offer more engaging interactive experiences.

Established in 2009, Digitoonz is a swiftly expanding animation studio with branches in New Delhi, Kolkata, Madrid, and Los Angeles. With a workforce of approximately 600 artists, the company is involved in numerous animated TV series and feature films destined for international distribution. Notable projects under its belt include “Rick and Morty” on Adult Swim, “Solar Opposites” on Hulu, and the Annecy competition film titled “Rock Bottom.
