Today, indie narrative label Fellow Traveller and game developer Jump Over the Age have debuted the tabletop-style dice RPG “Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector” on platforms including PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Game Pass.
Following the success of 2022’s praised indie game, Citizen Sleeper, the upcoming sequel, Starward Vector, puts players in the role of a memory-lost android trying to escape its creators and those who wish to exploit it. As relentless bounty hunters chase you, you must navigate the escalating danger and your malfunctioning robot body while traversing the Starward Belt’s dilapidated network of habitats to survive.
Journey across the expansive Starward Belt with its diverse landscapes, unfolding an intriguing narrative filled with hidden mysteries and complex histories. The story parallels your Sleeper’s enigmatic background. As you go, you’ll need to:
1. Acquire a ship (or steal one if necessary) and assemble a crew.
2. Manage relationships and navigate through challenging and perilous contracts in the Belt’s numerous hubs.
3. Balance your resources to make a living, using dice rolls for skill checks and tough choices within an innovative and refined gameplay system.
4. Push your luck, aiming for higher rewards but also risking stress, damage to your dice, and potentially serious malfunctions in your Sleeper’s fragile system.Guillaume Singelin, a renowned comic book artist, has brought the visuals to life, while Amos Roddy lends his talent as composer to create an emotional and human narrative about a character who is not entirely human themselves.
