The game’s release date has been moved from February 5, 2026. Aspyr announced they’ll share more information later, and are offering full refunds for preorders. They thanked fans for understanding the delay and continuing to support the project.

The classic game Deus Ex is getting a visual upgrade, announced during Sony’s September 24th State of Play event. A new trailer showcased the improvements, and according to PlayStation’s Matthew Ray, the remaster will feature modernized controls, immersive haptic feedback with the DualSense controller, and better graphics – including updated lighting, shadows, particle effects, and textures.

The game received a lot of criticism after it was revealed. Many people commented on the official PlayStation trailer, expressing their disappointment with the new graphics. Others questioned why this game was being made in the first place, as no one had requested it. A common sentiment was simply that it was a letdown. Throughout the comments section, people were confused by Aspyr’s claims of improved visuals.

The negative response from players is probably the reason Aspyr postponed the game’s launch. Currently, there’s no confirmed date for when Deus Ex Remastered will be released.
