After achieving an incredibly successful debut in August 2025, NetEast is preparing to release the first significant update following the launch of Destiny Rising.
Details about Season 1: Daybreak’s specific content are still unclear, but we do have a hint based on the roadmap given with Destiny Rising’s launch. Two fresh characters are expected to join the game, probably acquired through in-game banner events.
Just like before, we will continually add fresh insights to this summary whenever the developer discloses new information. For now, let me share what we currently have on hand.
Daybreak release window
The exact release date for Season 1: Daybreak hasn’t been announced yet, but it’s slated for a drop in content during the month of September.
It’s uncertain exactly when in the month it will occur. On the game’s official Discord server, fans have suggested potential dates ranging from September 11 to 25. Since the current in-game event for Gwynn ends on the 25th, this is the most probable answer for now. However, it’s still a mystery, as no one knows for sure yet.

New Banners & Characters
In September, two fresh characters named Estela and Umeko make their entrance alongside Daybreak. Estela, who holds a Mythic rarity status, is a human Solar Warlock with an Ahamkara artifact, while Umeko marks the debut of Destiny Rising’s first playable Awoken character.
The character Umeko, known as a Void Hunter, is considered Legendary rarity. This implies she’ll likely be more accessible through Rising’s gacha systems compared to Estela. Both characters have previously been shown in the beta, and you can view their appearances below.
Just a heads up, I’ve noticed that NetEase might have tweaked the visuals or mechanics from the beta phase to Season 1: Daybreak. So, it’s always good to stay alert and adapt!

Trailers
On September 8, 2025, NetEase unveiled a trailer for Estela, highlighting her combat skills and weaponry. Although it’s yet to be determined what specific role she’ll embody, based on the trailer, she seems to specialize in offense as a Lightbearer character, utilizing the strength of the mythical Ahamkara to amplify her Solar energy.
One special talent she possesses is summoning a mythical creature’s avatar that unleashes a torrent of fire across a broad region. Consequently, she becomes a fantastic choice if you need effective management of large groups during raids or PvE events.
Or, more informally:
She can call forth an avatar of legendary beasts that shoots flames in a big area. With this power, she’s perfect for handling crowds in raids and PvE situations.
