In the upcoming Episode Heresy, Destiny 2’s next Dungeon, titled Sundered Doctrine, will become accessible. Bungie has released some initial information about what players aiming for the world’s first completion should be aware of, but there’s a twist – the rules are altered.
It was mentioned in a tweet on January 16th by Bungie that the Sundered Doctrine mission will lead Fireteams back to Savathun’s Throne World, where they will explore Rhulk’s Pyramid Spacecraft.
It’s worth noting that we’ll encounter this ship once more, as it was last seen in the Witch Queen’s Vow of the Disciple Raid. However, don’t be fooled by the familiarity, as things are likely to differ significantly from then on.
In the Dungeon, you’ll find a variety of unique experiences and, without a doubt, fresh rewards to collect. These can be found in the normal mode or the challenging Contest Mode.
Sundered Doctrine world first race start date
The Sundered Doctrine world first race begins with the Dungeon’s release on February 7.
In contrast to how the Vesper’s Host was handled in Episode Revenant, Bungie is altering the rules for this contest. The most significant change is that they will only acknowledge the first team to successfully complete the Dungeon on Contest mode, rather than recognizing the top three teams as they did before.

Contest Mode details
For all participants in this contest, it’s essential to adhere to the following guidelines to make sure you can join the competition.
- Contest Mode will be available for 48 hours from February 7.
- A Power Level of 1995 will be required to be at the cap for every encounter.
- Enemies are more aggressive and encounters have enrage mechanics, similar to Raids.
- Limited revives.
- Every Fireteam member must own The Final Shape Dungeon key to access the entry quest, The Drowning Labyrinth.
To ensure your team is recognized as the first to reach the finish line by Bungie, it’s essential to follow these rules:
1. Maintain focus on reaching the finish line as your primary objective.
2. Comply with all the guidelines set forth by Bungie throughout the competition.
- Once the final encounter is complete, the fireteam must loot the final chest or their finish may not be recorded. A team’s official finish will be recorded when they loot the final chest.
- At least one member of the fireteam must have completed and received loot for every encounter and it must be the first time completing the activity for all members of the fireteam.
Rewards
Completing Sundered Doctrine in Contest Mode with any group will earn you a unique Emblem and a guaranteed drop of the Dungeon’s Exotic item. Bungie is keeping details about both rewards under wraps for now, but we’ll be sure to update this section once more information becomes available.
How to watch & unlock Trigonic Amber Emblem
By collaborating with community content providers, spectators will have the chance to keep up with every thrilling moment of the race on February 7. Plus, they’ll receive an attractive Emblem as a reward for tuning in at these designated viewing spots.
