Starting next week, the “Destiny 2: Past Is Prologue” event, leading up to Episode: Heresy, commences. This event, as revealed in this week’s Destiny update, focuses primarily on Eris and The Drifter. Players who participated in Riven’s Wishes last year will notice a familiar rhythm resuming from January 21st onward, according to Bungie.
From Tuesday onwards, I’ll head over to the Drifter to pick up some quests that will net me Bento Tokens – an in-game currency. Once I’ve gathered enough, I can take them to Eris for some sweet rewards. Over the course of the event, I stand to earn a total of eight Bento Tokens!
The event presents attractive advantages through its prizes, offering various methods to acquire numerous equipment and currency items typically restricted to specific tasks. Here, you can acquire Spoils of Conquest, which are only obtainable upon finishing raid battles, Adept weapons outside of challenging nightfalls and raids, and Artifice armor without having to conquer Master dungeons. Furthermore, the Chatterwhite shader is coming back for Past Is Prologue. Upon collecting five Bento Tokens, you will gain access to the shader for your collection.
The “The Past Is Prologue” event will last for two weeks, running from January 21st to February 4th, so make sure to schedule your plans accordingly. In the interim, keep in mind that the conclusion of Revenant Act 3 has given us a sneak peek at what’s coming next, including a set of legendary weapons.
