Cygames has released a new demo for Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam).

This new demo builds on the Open Beta from April with improvements to gameplay balance and the user interface. It also introduces Seofon as a playable character. You can experience two modes: Story Mode and Quest Mode. Although your progress won’t carry over to the full game, players will receive special rewards when Endless Ragnarok launches.

Cygames has announced how players will be able to access the Endless Ragnarok update within the game, and revealed that new playable characters will be included.

A new trailer called ‘The Journey So Far’ is now available, featuring highlights from both the original game and its upcoming expansion.

The new trailer and details can be found below, via Cygames.

Game Demo

The Relink demo lets new players jump into the beginning of the story and try out several different characters. Completing quests in the demo unlocks rewards you can use when you purchase the full game.

Demo content includes

  • Experience a preview of the main storyline from Granblue Fantasy: Relink through Story Mode. Completing it unlocks special rewards for both Granblue Fantasy: Relink and its expansion, Endless Ragnarok.

  • Quest Mode lets you tackle missions by yourself or with friends. The demo features crossplay, meaning you can team up with players on other platforms! There are four quests in total to experience. Finish the first three to unlock the fourth quest, “Sephira’s Sanguine Glimmer,” which introduces Summons – a brand-new way to fight. You’ll earn rewards for completing each quest that you can use when Granblue Fantasy: Relink or Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok officially launch.

  • Changes from the Open Beta Version

    • In the “Sephira’s Sanguine Glimmer” quest, the enemy “Aquila Ruby Golem” now has less HP and attack power.

    • Character artwork in the main menu has been updated

    • A new playable character, Seofon, has been added! He’s known as the Star Sword Sovereign and is unlocked in a unique way in the complete game. Now, you can experience playing as him directly within the demo.

    • Fixes have been implemented for issues related to co-op matching

  • Tutorial Mode – Learn game basics, such as how to control characters during exploration and combat

*Demo content may vary from the full game

*Progress made in this demo will automatically save. Data can’t be saved or loaded manually

*Demo data can’t be carried over to the full game

*If saved data for clearing the demo is lost or erased, demo rewards can’t be claimed

You’ll be able to get your rewards for participating in the demo once Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok is officially released.

To play online multiplayer games on the Nintendo Switch 2, you’ll need a Nintendo Switch Online membership.

You don’t need a PlayStation Plus subscription to play games online with others on your PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 4.

Third Trailer: The Journey So Far

The latest trailer for Granblue Fantasy: Relink now features content from the Endless Ragnarok expansion. This new version, called “The Journey So Far,” blends the main game’s story with the exciting combat and gameplay introduced in Endless Ragnarok, showcasing the adventurous spirit of the Sky Realm.

Unlocking New Story Content and The Conflux

Endless Ragnarok is an expansive new addition to Granblue Fantasy: Relink.

Completing the quest “The Tale of Bahamut’s Rage” in Relink unlocks Chaos difficulty levels, letting you start the Endless Ragnarok storyline. As you progress through this story and get your first Summon, you’ll gain access to a new battle mechanic: Summons! These strong allies can then be used in Chaos or even harder quests.

How to Unlock The Conflux

Okay, so I just found out about this new solo mode called The Conflux. You unlock it by doing a side quest in Seedhollow – it pops up during Chapter 6 of the main story. Once you finish that quest, you start the first Cycle of The Conflux. Pretty cool!

As you play through the main story in Relink, you’ll also be able to unlock the second and third Cycles of the Conflux.

To unlock each Cycle:

  • Cycle 1: Start the side quest added in Chapter 6
  • Cycle 2: Progress through Hard-difficulty quests
  • Cycle 3: Progress through Maniac-difficulty quests
  • Deeper Cycles: Progress through the story of Endless Ragnarok

Each Cycle rewards different upgrade materials:

  • Cycle 1: Obtain weapon forging materials
  • Cycle 2: Obtain sigil upgrade materials
  • Cycle 3: Obtain weapon uncap/awakening materials and rare sigils

How to Unlock New Playable Characters

Each of the six new playable characters is unlocked differently:

  • Beatrix and Eustace are characters who let you trade Crewmate Cards at the Knicknack Shack. More ways to get these cards will be available when the full game launches.

  • In Relink’s Chapter Ø, completing Hard-difficulty quests will trigger a special cutscene and reward you with unique Crewmate Cards. You can then trade these cards at the Knicknack Shack.

  • Fraux, Fediel – Progress through Endless Ragnarok’s story to have these characters join your crew
