Delta Airlines is partnering with YouTube to offer passengers complimentary, ad-free access to content from their favorite creators, podcasts, and playlists while they are flying. This means passengers can enjoy entertainment without interruptions during their flights.
The airline revealed a new, long-term collaboration with YouTube, which will bring a wider range of entertainment options to passengers on over 930 planes.
This offer gives passengers access to YouTube Premium on the seatback screens and their own devices using Delta Sync Wi-Fi. SkyMiles Members can enjoy a 14-day free trial, beginning October 1.
According to Julieta McCurry, Delta’s VP of In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity, this collaboration started with a key realization: our passengers really enjoy using YouTube. She stated, “Delta and YouTube are in a special position to provide customers with an exceptional experience.”

Passengers can now enjoy a variety of entertainment on seatback screens, including YouTube videos, podcasts, and playlists. The initial offerings feature popular creators like MrBeast, chef Nick DiGiovanni, podcaster Mel Robbins, and the children’s channel Mother Goose Club. To enhance the boarding experience, flight attendants have also created a special YouTube Music playlist that will be played for passengers.
In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, YouTube’s VP of Product Partnerships, Miguel Quiroga, expressed his approval of the initiative. He explained, “Consider Delta’s core mission: delivering an exceptional experience for travelers globally. At YouTube, we’re equally dedicated to offering our users the best the world has to offer through high-quality content.”
The airline initially hinted at this collaboration back in January at CES. Now, it’s becoming another benefit Delta is introducing to improve travelers’ experiences. Throughout 2024, the airline began offering Shake Shack meals on certain flights, and this service was later increased to cover more destinations as part of an upgrade to its first-class dining options.
Now that Delta offers YouTube Premium, the airline is working to ensure its in-flight entertainment is just as captivating and easy to enjoy as the streaming apps people use every day. Delta wants passengers to be able to binge-watch their favorite shows while flying.
