‘Deli Boys’ Trailer Reveals Hilarious Dark Side of Family Convenience Store Business

The Onyx Collective from Hulu has unveiled the initial trailer for the humorous, one-camera sitcom titled “Deli Boys.” This series is set to premiere in its entirety, consisting of all 10 episodes, on March 6.

In the trailer, it’s revealed that Mir (Asif Ali) and Raj (Saagar Shaikh), two Pakistani-American brothers, found out their father’s chain of convenience stores was merely a facade, and the true family business involved dealing drugs. With no experience in managing such a venture, they are thrust into a dangerous criminal world, fighting to stay alive while trying to salvage their unlawful enterprise.

Besides Ali, Shaikh, and themselves, the series also features Poorna Jagannathan, Brian George, and Alfie Fuller as part of its ensemble.

Abdullah Saeed developed and oversees the show as its executive producer. Jenni Konner and Nora Silver, under Jenni Konner Productions, co-developed the show for television and also serve as executive producers. Michelle Nader is both the series’ showrunner and an executive producer. Nisha Ganatra takes on the roles of executive producer and director in the pilot episode. Vali Chandrasekaran serves as an executive producer specifically for the pilot. The series originates from Onyx Collective and is produced by 20th Television.

The show titled “Deli Boys” was initially planned for a pilot at Onyx Collective in 2022. However, it wasn’t until May 2023 that it officially received a series order. Despite this, production on the show didn’t start until early 2024, primarily because of the writers’ and actors’ strikes that took place in Hollywood during 2023.

Before “Deli Boys” hits screens, the Onyx Collective’s lineup of original scripted series currently includes solely the legal drama “Reasonable Doubt.” Lately, the Natasha Rothwell series “Learning to Die Alone” has been terminated after its first season.
