Development on Death Stranding 2: On the Shore continues to progress, and an exciting milestone has been reached. Notably, Hideo Kojima recently revealed that Shioli Kutsuna, known for portraying Yukio in the Marvel series, has completed her acting work for the game.
Kojima expressed his heartfelt gratitude for your tremendous effort! Amidst the difficulties posed by the pandemic, you skillfully managed 3D scanning, performance capture in Los Angeles, as well as English ADR and Japanese voice recording across multiple locations. Your work is commendable, and it’s greatly appreciated!
Yasuyuki Kase and Yasuki Kase wrapped up their filming, and Kojima expressed his gratitude towards them too. He even gifted bouquets to Kase and Kutsuna, as shown in the photo below. Although some actors have completed their parts, it doesn’t imply that the game is fully produced. “The development of the game continues,” Kojima clarified.

In a thrilling turn of events, I’m excitedly looking forward to Death Stranding 2, where Norman Reedus, Troy Baker, and Lea Seydoux will be reprising their roles! And the anticipation heightens as we welcome Elle Fanning to the series for the first time.
As a dedicated follower, I’m excitedly sharing that Kojima has just confirmed his current endeavor, rumored to be Death Stranding 2, has entered the crunch phase before launch. He’s also expressing some concerns about how long he can continue to fuel his creative spirit.
Apart from the anticipated Death Stranding 2, Kojima Productions is currently working on not one, but at least two additional titles – Physint and OD. Unfortunately, there are no confirmed release dates for any of these upcoming projects at this time.
Apart from game development, Kojima is collaborating with A24 on a film adaptation of Death Stranding, but the project is currently in its initial stages.
