Dead by Daylight And Resident Evil Team Up Again For 2v8 Mode Battles

In simple terms, the survival-horror series Resident Evil and the asymmetric multiplayer game Dead by Daylight share many similarities. Previously, Capcom and Behaviour Interactive have teamed up for two collaborations between these games. Now, we’re only a few days away from another crossover event, featuring players taking on two infamous villains from Resident Evil!

As a fervent fan, I can’t contain my excitement about the newest 2v8 mode in Dead by Daylight, which is set to feature none other than Resident Evil 3’s iconic nemesis, the Nemesis, and the cunning mastermind, Albert Wesker, also known as The Mastermind. These two formidable villains will be hot on the heels of Jill Valentine, Leon Kennedy, Ada Wong, and Rebecca Chambers. Each of these characters has graced our screens in previous Resident Evil collaborations with this title. To top it off, Dead by Daylight’s very own monster, The Legion, will also make an appearance in this thrilling event.

In an entertaining twist, this joint project incorporates Resident Evil’s iconic green and yellow healing items. These items, which have been a mainstay of the series since its inception, will appear randomly at the start of each game for players to use for recuperation. However, if either Nemesis or Wesker manage to reach these items first, they can destroy them and momentarily boost their speed.

During the partnership period from February 10th to 25th, you can play any character from the Resident Evil series without charge in the 2vs8 game mode. To make the Resident Evil characters feel comfortable, the 2vs8 mode will take us back to Raccoon City’s Police Department, a location familiar from Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3. This is just one of the maps included in this 2vs8 event; details about the other maps are still forthcoming.

In 2v8 mode, two automated survivor characters will be added to each team by Behaviour Interactive. This move is intended to shorten the time it takes for killers to find a match. Besides the main Dead by Daylight game, there’s a spin-off called The Casting of Frank Stone that was developed jointly by Behavior and Supermassive. Furthermore, this summer will see a collaboration between Dead by Daylight and Five Nights At Freddy’s.
