As a big fan of Zack Snyder’s DC vision, I always thought it was a shame things didn’t work out. Okay, so the buzz about Netflix potentially acquiring Warner Bros. and reviving Zack Snyder’s DC universe? It’s hit a snag. Word on the street – and Variety is reporting this – is that Paramount is now leading the charge. They’re apparently putting together a massive $71 billion bid, backed by some serious financial power from investment funds in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Abu Dhabi. It looks like Paramount might be the ones to end up with Warner, not Netflix, throwing a wrench into any Snyderverse comeback hopes.
Paramount has stated it isn’t working with certain companies, but a recent Reuters report suggests Paramount Skydance is the leading candidate to acquire Warner Bros. Discovery. This raises the question of whether the Snyderverse could be revived if a different studio takes over Warner. However, with Paramount currently favored in the deal, the possibility of seeing the Snyderverse return seems increasingly unlikely.
