Deacon Saint John is set to traverse “the Cracked Pathway” once more, as Bend Studio unveils a remastered version of Days Gone, scheduled for release on the 25th of April, 2025. As announced by Kevin McAllister, the community manager of the studio, pre-orders will be available from the 13th of February, 2025, on PlayStation consoles and PC via the Epic Games Store and Steam. The game will be exclusively available digitally, with additional content added to the original title.

Regarding the enhancements found in Days Gone Remastered, there are upgraded visuals, better shadow and lighting effects, VRR compatibility, and support for DualSense controllers. The developers have also expanded accessibility options by incorporating controller customization, UI language settings, and High Contrast mode to make the game’s world more accessible to a wider range of players.

In Horde Assault, a thrilling survival mode within the game, players encounter an exhilarating experience with unpredictable gameplay that pushes their skills to the limit. This is accomplished by surviving endless waves of enemies that progressively grow stronger while simultaneously trying to accumulate a high score and endure for as long as possible.

In addition, the game remaster will introduce a Permadeath mode, offering players the ultimate challenge: navigating through the game’s story without Deacon St. John meeting his demise in a single playthrough. If successful, they will be rewarded with a new trophy at the end of their journey.

In Days Gone Remastered, you’ll find extra features such as a speedrunning mode that tests your skills against the clock in completing the game’s story quickly, and an upgraded Photo Mode where you can capture the apocalypse at any time of the day for the ideal shot. The developers have made enhancements to these modes.

On February 13th, 2025, pre-orders for the Days Gone Remastered will become available. During this period, you’ll have a chance to get eight unique PlayStation Network avatars depicting characters from Days Gone, along with five early access items. If you already own the PS4 version of the game, you can upgrade to the Remastered edition, which includes new content, features, and PS5 enhancements, for just $10. Newcomers can either pre-order or buy the remaster at launch for $49.99.

Players who already own the game can upgrade to the remastered version with the Broken Road DLC at a cost of $10. This upgraded version includes additional accessibility features, an improved Photo Mode, and new modes such as Horde Assault, Permadeath, and speedrunning. Remember, Days Gone Remastered is set to release on 25th April 2025 for both PS5 and PC, with pre-orders becoming available soon. It will take you on an adventure through the untamed wilderness of the Pacific Northwest.
