Interestingly enough, there’s been a recent announcement about the re-release of “Twin Peaks” by Mark Frost and Lynch in physical format this month. The “Twin Peaks: From Z to A” collection is scheduled for release on February 3rd and can now be pre-ordered on Amazon. This comprehensive set encompasses all three seasons of “Twin Peaks,” including the revival series “Twin Peaks: The Return,” as well as the feature film “Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me,” which came out a year after the original series was terminated in 1991. Furthermore, it offers over 27 hours of extra content across all three seasons, featuring cast and crew interviews, documentaries, deleted scenes, and much more.

In 2024, it was disclosed that Lynch had been diagnosed with emphysema due to a lifetime of smoking, which meant he could no longer leave his house to continue directing. His family announced his passing through a Facebook post, expressing, “A significant void has appeared in the world since he’s gone, but, as he often said, ‘Focus on the donut, not the hole.’
