The final season of Stranger Things is nearing its conclusion, and it’s a poignant moment for the actors who’ve become well-known thanks to the show. A celebratory event was held at the Paley Center last night with most of the cast, though David Harbour was noticeably missing.
David Harbour was originally supposed to be at the event, but had to cancel at the last minute because of a scheduling issue, according to People magazine. This cancellation comes after some unusual reports surfaced about Harbour, including an incident where he allegedly stole someone’s hat.
David Harbour Reportedly Stole A Stranger’s Hat
According to reports from TMZ, a strange incident occurred this past Saturday in northern San Diego County. A man at the Encinitas Ale House reportedly recognized actor David Harbour walking by with a friend and went outside to say hello. They had a short and unusual conversation before the man returned inside the pub.
A video reportedly exists showing what happened next, but it hasn’t been released publicly. The video allegedly shows Harbour entering a restaurant and quickly leaving with another man’s hat. The man then followed Harbour outside, visibly upset and exclaiming, “What the fuck did I do to you, dude?” Harbour reportedly responded with, “C’mon, dude, fucking get me.” After this exchange, both men walked out of the camera’s view, but the man later returned to retrieve his hat.
Other Incidents In The Area Involving David Harbour Were Also Reported
Reports of unusual behavior continue to surface. SanDiegoVille shared a story from a now-removed Reddit post detailing an incident at a Vista gas station where a man, allegedly David Harbour, became confrontational, leading to the involvement of a sheriff’s deputy. People magazine has confirmed a report of someone experiencing a mental health crisis, but the individual’s name hasn’t been made public.
Another post on the same Reddit thread comes from somebody who claims to have had a strange interaction with David Harbour at a Barnes & Noble store in Escondido. Photos of Harbour that were reportedly taken inside that store would seem to at least confirm his presence there, though the rest of the incident is unconfirmed.
Although these details haven’t been officially confirmed, they echo another strange claim from the last season of Stranger Things. There were reports that Millie Bobby Brown had complained about David Harbour bullying her on set. However, Brown and Harbour appeared friendly and together at promotional events, which made the story even more puzzling.
While we’re still awaiting full details, the second part of Stranger Things Season 5 will be released on Christmas Day. The final episodes will premiere on New Year’s Eve and can be watched with a Netflix subscription or by going to a movie theater.
